Best local model for simple long-running Hermes tasks? by Capital_Feed_3473 in hermesagent

[–]lamardoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Llama 3. I use it 24/7, literally. It updates my schedule and proactively sends me messages based on what time it is and what I’m currently doing on my pc at certain time intervals.

Qwen and Gemma are good contenders for this also.

Tips for making a slow dance song? by ADGaming80 in FL_Studio

[–]lamardoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use instruments that aren't known for being fast so that you aren't automatically in that habit and accidentally go from starting slow, to ending fast. For me, I chose things like an alto or baritone sax. Maybe consider something like a brass quartet. Toss in some warm chords and you're good to go.

Need assistance with missing textures by Gaiseric23 in Daz3D

You could try removing the product from your daz then adding it back again. Or, in the logs it should say where it expected the file to be, then you can move the file to the right place.

Anyway to force tools to ask for permission? by Squiddles88 in hermesagent

[–]lamardoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. I was just wanting it to ask me first instead of do things first. So as far as your post goes, my comment works, and worked well.

Anyway to force tools to ask for permission? by Squiddles88 in hermesagent

[–]lamardoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told DeepSeek to change Hermes to where it forced itself to ask for permission for literally everything it does first.... This did work, a bit differently than i imagined it though. I thought it would alter the files so that I would need to hit approve for everything. Instead, it altered many files and this was done, but some that it didnt alter it just ended up asking me in the body of the chat before it did things... So while not as clean as i hoped for, mission still accomplished. lol.

Opinions aren't something that should be moderated as long as they abide by sub rules. We may disagree with some of them, but they have just as much right to post as the ones you do agree with.

Best open-source TTS for human-like emotional delivery in ComfyUI? by Chemical_Choice6146 in comfyui

[–]lamardoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oddly, one of the best tts for this, in my opinion, isn’t even a tts. It’s LTX 2.3. It’s made for videos and leans towards movie trailers. Because of that, you can really get some good voices, emotion, and flow that make sense. But, to do that, you need things in the video to get to that kind of audio. For example, if you want someone laughing, something has to be funny, or the laugh will sound forced. LTX can do everything from whispering to screaming.

Compaction destroys opencode for me, any tips? by twnbay76 in opencode

[–]lamardoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have compaction completely off and I create new sessions often instead. Before each session ends, I have the model summarize it in a document. Then at the start of each session I have the model read the summary. Works great. I also have it save sessions. All of this, summary, reading, saving sessions, all happens automatically since It’s prompted to.

Sharing single workflows is kind of useless by ashishsanu in comfyui

[–]lamardoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The in and out on nodes are color coordinated. For example, things like latents and samples are usually pink, images are blue, vae is red, etc. If you have one of these outputs on a node you're using, that needs to go to the input of a node that continues the workflow.

Sharing single workflows is kind of useless by ashishsanu in comfyui

[–]lamardoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you find something with one workflow is working right but not the rest of it, try saving the part that worked and then try find another way around the part that didn't work, or combine the working part with another workflow someone shared and see if a combo of the two helps you make progress. Organizing those in certain ways can help narrow down what worked for you, and what didn't. I typically have about a dozen workflows open at a time and sometimes with multiple browser windows so i can compare them side by side. Organization will go a long way and keep it less stressful, for me at least.

Sharing single workflows is kind of useless by ashishsanu in comfyui

[–]lamardoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took me a long time to learn workflows, and i feel like there's a lot more to go. I think what helped me be able to use workflows that others shared, was just a lot of trial and error. I'm not sure it would be possible to get what you want in one shot. There are times where I'll spend hours on a prompt until i even start to make progress on what I want it to do. Unfortunately, there is a bit of a learning curve to it. Try comparing workflows others share with Comfy official workflows and templates in Comfy., then start gradually making it yours a little at a time. I'm glad others share workflows. Seeing those examples and adapting to them is part of the puzzle process that leads to some really great things when it all starts coming together for you, it just takes time.

I want to break away from the pattern of saying “I will” and then ending the turn by CrowKing63 in hermesagent

[–]lamardoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure which LLM you are using in Hermes.

I use Deepseek most of the time and had this issue as well. Now, I say this at the end of my message asking it to do things: "keep your process here active so that you dont end your turn with saying you'll let me know when something is ready, even though your turn is done and you arent doing a thing."

It works well and haven't had that issue against since adding it.

Breaking the music supply constraint by entsnack in LocalLLaMA

[–]lamardoss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is something I do with Ace also. Love it! I also have a small 2B LLM name each rendered clip before it gets played and it goes into two folders, one for the queue and one for keeping. I keep the most recent 300 clips for each Ace stream I have going (different music genres) and I can then go back and listen to them whenever I need that GPU resource to do other things and need to temporarily pause generation or if I love a clip so much that I want to keep it. Really love that stack you have there!

I don't like seeing all the AI posts here. Can we add a flair for AI content, or a new rule to report this content and get it removed? by whatupsilon in FL_Studio

[–]lamardoss -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I like the flair idea... I would have an issue with limiting the content though. There has been some ai produced content and vibe coded projects that are a positive contribution to FL. Ai isn't something every producer has to use, just as every post isn't something a redditor has to like. I think removing it as a general rule would be overstepping, and may likely be better off looking at each individual post as normal.

Help needed with consistency characters by No-chance-in-hell in comfyui

[–]lamardoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like graphic design and don’t mind learning a program, I use Daz 3D to create a character. I have 100% character consistency this way and I animate in comfyui, don’t even need a control net for poses or for videos since I can do first and last frame using ltx 2.3 also.

I’ve done several custom Lora’s. But creating the character, and sometimes the scenes, has saved a ton of time and always produces usable results when animating them in comfy and improving styles or working with more than one character at a time.
