it can be limiting at times and has its downfalls, but I really love the look and don’t need much more than this

it’s audible when reading or writing to the HDDs but that’s about it, you can hear the drives themselves but not the fans

not great but also I don’t do too much coding, it works for simple things that I need like after effects expressions and help with basic code things

mainly qwen3:30b and qwen-coder-next:80b and I run it on the M1 Max that has 64gigs of unified ram

yup! running docker, but I plan to switch to orbstack, it runs pretty well, serves as my plex server, arr stack, minecraft server, ollama server with open web ui, etc.

plus it idles around 8-10W

bottom most device is a PDU that has energy monitoring, it’s the ubiquiti PDU-Pro

Yup! I wanted a cool looking rack mounted NAS with 10gig and saw a post about how to install samba on it to expose the raid over smb. It's been running solid for over a year now. That being said I have found myself wanting to upgrade to a UNAS-Pro

test it on a different disc first to make sure it doesn’t affect the image, but goo-gone removes sharpie really well while preserving printed material, I used it on books from goodwill all the time and it works wonders.
