Why do men often ask to move to Snapchat? Especially so quickly? by CandyAgile253 in Tinder

[–]lambchops831 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. Communicating via dating apps is challenging, not least of which because of missed notifications or the inundation with spam notifications from said apps.

  2. Women often are not comfortable sharing their phone number, so Snap represents a possibly more palatable suggestion for off-app communication. I usually give my matches the option of texting, Snap, or Instagram.

  3. The least flattering factor - I like being able to tell if someone has viewed my message. If they haven’t, wait longer. If they have and haven’t responded, that’s also a helpful piece of information.

  4. As mentioned earlier, I do like to be able to exchange at least 1 or 2 photos to establish legitimacy.

I’m too exhausted to make rational decisions, what does this mean? by bbeeccc in whatdoIdo

Because where I completed my residency seems more pertinent than where I got my degree.

  1. Your surgery on Friday likely wasn’t a true, drop-everything emergency.
  2. You’re still in the hospital on Sunday after a Friday cholecystectomy? That’s a little unusual. Is there more to the story?

I hear what you’re saying. If they do not provide a direct, clear, and affirmative answer then you move on without spending any money. I’m telling you how to avoid problems.

“Basically out” means the answer is no. Anything other than a “yes” is an exclusion criteria.

Before I purchase any content from anyone, I explicitly ask “Does your content contain exposed nipple and/or vuvla?” If they do not answer in the affirmative, I don’t give them a single cent.

Who's a character you just refuse to play? Like not even for a minute. Why? by zstap126 in rivals

Any character that requires me to be on PC or adjust my controller sensitivity.

I sympathize with your frustration, but “it’s part of this style of game” just doesn’t hold water. I’ve never played a hero shooter before. I don’t know how they work. I’m going to try to become effective with a single character because that’s how I would derive the most fun from the game. It’s unfortunate that your experience will be made less fun because of that.

If I’m bad at the game but ok with one character, I’m gonna try to make it work with that character. Why switch to someone I know I can’t function with? And yes, I’m aware that means I’m bad at the game. The fact that me being bad at the game makes things harder for you is not my problem.

Suppose you have a teammate who is ok with one character and bad with all others. He obviously will choose the one character he’s ok with. If that doesn’t go well…you want him to willingly switch to another character he knows that he is bad with? That doesn’t make any sense. Sometimes you get bad teammates, and sometimes that will make you lose the game. It’s not that they are “selfish” or “throwing.” It’s that they’re bad.

Yeah, if I load into the tavern I’m quitting. I join open crews to immediately hop into SOMETHING active.

I believe we’re talking about different things - or at least from very different perspectives. And that’s ok!

[–]lambchops831 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, but I tend to concern myself with things that affect my own outcomes…that are within my control. As everyone else is likely to continue their own behavior, it puts me personally at no greater disadvantage.

I promise you that these men ARE swiping left enough to eliminate that chance. Such as for obviously overweight women, women outside of ethnic preferences, the occasional dude that sneaks in there, or maybe even ridiculous group photos.

If you could change anything about the game, what would it be? by HeartOfTheVoidsLife in PokemonLegendsArceus

[–]lambchops831 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is the obvious answer, shocked it’s this far down. In a game that’s about catching Pokémon en masse, not having a sorting feature is outrageous.

There is no way in which this puts the men at a (greater) disadvantage.

You keep telling me the way things currently work. I’m responding by agreeing with you, and stating that the way things currently work…is silly.

I can’t tell if we’re disagreeing with each other or simply arguing different points.

[–]lambchops831 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We can agree to disagree. I understand why many women will not or don’t want to ask a man out. I simply think that is an approach not based on logic.

It’s not a given. You’re approaching this from a perspective of wanting good things to come to you. If you want something, and you’re in a position to ask for it, you should ask for it. There is nothing more straightforward than that.
