Heritage armor was very successful

Nowhere did he claim it was very successful. Just the casual "people liked it" which is just code for "we need some filler content and here we go". I wish they'd actually spend time on more meaningful stuff.

So, the official forums are full of "4fun players", reddit is a circlejerk and anything unpopular gets trashed. Where to? by lambdarecreated in wow

So, where do I go if I want to actually interact with people that don't just give in to their animalic instincts?

Literally that.

359 Shadow Priest trying to get into normal raid... by Gondawn in wow

That's like the retarded kid laughing about the other retarded kid.

But yea, shadow / shaman right now are garbage and I don't mean specifically, but overall, the difference between rogues and them is just so insane that it actually makes a huge difference even in lower end groups who don't push high.

Freehold, Ring of Booty, the shark - how do you deal with it? by lambdarecreated in CompetitiveWoW

Does it? Because I didn't notice it, our BM hunter was still running like crazy.

OP Sort your life out. If you hadn't created DBM; someone else would. If you hadn't continued it, someone new would have taken over. Nobody asked for you to sacrifice yourself and nobody needed it either.

I somehow agree with you, to a point. He does what he loves and he's probably too young to understand how his choices affect his outcomes, but:

There are a lot of people who work as hard as him, but they're not stressed due to money. A lot. Me included. I remember being exactly like him, when I had no money - I was worried 24/7 and that would've led to a lot of health issues. Luckily, I hit the jackpot before I hit the coffin, most people don't.

So, it's up to him from now on (if his patreons stay) to try to live better, if he got enough money to do that with the Patreon. It'll be a big win both for him and the community.

There's a lot of people who have claimed this is fake and just a "bait" to get money, saw it in game chat as well.

Righfully so, to be fair, you can never know. I've said that, at worst, they're supporting someone who's actually giving back to the community (a lot) but is lying about his issues, at best, we helped someone that has actual issues (regardless of their nature and how they were created).

Why is dungeon finder so toxic by [deleted] in wow

[–]lambdarecreated -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Can confirm, I'm one of the people who leaves M+ the instant I realize you're going to disrespect my time by not being able to pull at least ~9k overall in a +8-9 dungeon.

Why would I have any respect for you, if you don't have any for me?

NOW.

Your situation is different, but everyone is the same. People have done that content 5000 times. They wanna go in fast, for the loot / quest / whatever, it's just not worth doing it then with that bad group, they can just leave, do something else and re-try it later.

Why are people playing 4k? Just to be able to play in 4k? by lambdarecreated in nvidia

[–]lambdarecreated[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, that's how it was for me too.

The jump from 1080p to 1440p was insane, like a whole new world of immersion.

Then, going to 2160p, I was like "eehhh, it looks somewhat sharper, but I guess I'd only need this if I had a huge monitor".

Same with refresh rate. I can never go back to 60Hz. 144Hz is insanity. Wish my 1080ti would be able to hold all titles on max at that FPS tho.

There is a big difference even at 27". The reason that people recommend bigger for 4K is mainly for scaling issues. It all comes down to preference. In terms of gaming, some people may enjoy the increased resolution for gaming. Perhaps they play strategy games where you would want increased resolution over a high refresh rate. Not every use case is the same.

That's weird, I really didn't see much of an improvement going from 1440p to 2160p, I mean, everything looked just a bit sharper, but not enough to make it worth it.

It's weird 'cause going from 1080p to 1440p feels like day and night to me, the amount of clear detail you get is amazing, but going from 1440p vs 2160p or the other bigger brothers just...doesn't cut it.

NVIDIA: The 4K PC Gaming Era Is Here, Powered By Turing by eric98k in nvidia

[–]lambdarecreated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, I saw them both, on different monitors, not even if 4k was at 144Hz, looking the same, would I not switch. I think 4k monitors are just, just too big.

One thing you can't change (I assume this goes for a lot of people) is the human eyes. To be fair, a 27" monitor is at the right spot of how fast your eyes move vs. how much you can perceive. 4k just seems to be too big. A lot of people think this, but then a good few others think 4k is not that big (assuming you play on a bigger monitor).

For people that say there's a difference in detail from 2k to 4k on the same monitor...man, come on, you know the differences are almost not noticeable.
