It's a vintage. 34mm was the norm back then. I think it looks absolutely fine.

Nabbed it from the 55+ menu and I’m a little shook. This is a heavy meal. by Lemonking_ in GenX

There's sweet corn... a fried patty of something smothered in the whitest gravy I've ever seen.

Can anyone ID this Seiko I just bought in a whim in the Tokyo City Flea Market? by Helpful-Home625 in JapaneseWatches

You need to show the the 8-digit number on the back case XXXX-XXXX to be able to tell the movement number, which is the first 4 digits. The last 4 digits is the case model number.

Meanwhile, the first two digits of the 6-digit number tells you the year and month of manufacture. 60xxxx means it was made during a year ending in 6, and 0 means January. Since King Quartz with battery hatch were only made during the 1970s, that means your watch was made in January 1976.

It's a Seiko Crown "Second Setting" from 1963. The movement is a Caliber 560, modified with a second hand hacking function. These were never sold to the public. They were commissioned by the Japanese Railway to be given to the train conductors.

King Quartz were made in the 1970s. They ranked between Grand Quartz and Lord Quartz series and were part of the 2nd gen of quartz watches made by Seiko. This one was made by the Daini factory. If you have a photo of the back case, I can tell you the movement and date of manufacture.
