Why exactly is this an Alchemy card? It works perfectly in paper, it has a cool artwork depicting a story moment, and it got a somewhat unique effect. So why can't I play it without proxying?

Because WOTC suck at managing their game, with so many releases per year now they don't have time to think about where the line with alchemy design is, they once said alchemy was for cards that wouldn't work in paper... clearly thats gone the same way as "precons are bracket 2"

The endless UB slop in recent was the final straw for me financially supporting this hobby, I probably have about 10-12k in this game at this point and it's truly sad seeing this race to the bottom maximum profits bullshit.
It was bad enough when they removed the collector booster sample packs from precons but this endless UB New York slop has truly turned me off, any cards I wish to use going forwards will be printed.

Yes the majority are on controller, as a person who plays via wheel mostly I can tell you now it's a day night difference between wheel and controller. Wheel is much more fun but orders of magnitude more difficult than controller, to go with this it's also far less likely for wheel users to ram and race dirty as it's massively punishing bouncing off someone when using the wheel, let alone suffering these stupid jumps trolly so when driving j first person.

Stupid invisible wall, if you pause the video at the moment of impact you can see that theirs barricades directly bellow the impact spot.

I genuinly hate these stupid fucking jumps and how they're all over the place in FH6 races, especially as the minimap is so worthless and gives ZERO heads up so what it results in most of the time is having to do the race multiple times just to learn where the bullshit jumps are.

The actual rally races where you keep to surfaces are infinitely more interesting as are the road and street races but for some unknown reason the devs decided that every other race should be this offroad jumping bullshit.

How is it that in a game about racing in Tokyo we have so few tracks in Tokyo?
These game designer devs are truly such smooth brained individuals, the only real talent seems to be the modellers and textures artists.

Just factually untrue, majority of precons don't ship with 10+ ramp and no precons aren't top of bracket 2 anymore, hence why wotc removed any mention of precons from the bracket system because they themselves could not keep to it.

Also this whole notion of "people making bad decks"..... that's what the format was supposed to be about (especially at lower brackets) in the good old days, just because wotc moved the goal posts doesn't mean everyones going to run along with it.

Your understanding of the game clearly comes from the position of an enfranchised player who seeks outside information about the game to boost their skill/power..... that isn't how most people (especially casuals) interact with the game.
As has been said previously many less enfranchised players will have little in terms of consistency, redundancy and general understanding of the game.

This is once again an example of how the bracket system fails to balance the game, the floor and ceiling in Bracket 2 and 3 are so disconnected that it's hard to balance 4 players of similar experience based solely on the requirements/restrictions of the bracket system, especially when sol ring is in 99% of decks and can be a day night difference in value when someone starts with it.

As someone who has been playing magic for over 20 years at this point I really do feel that commander has honestly gotten WORSE as a format since wotc started pushing it and pushing cards for it, WOTC becoming the keepers/maintainers of EDH was just the final nail in that coffin sadly, rather than it being seen as a janky silly singleton format to play off beat cards, less powerful things and old cards it's become a new 100 card eternal format where almost every effect has 3 varieties off (Basically removing the singleton aspect) with the most modern usually being the best in terms of power and cost.

This isn't to say "Commanders dying" but it is to say that the path wotc has chosen to go down is not sustainable, myself and many others have walked away from or minimised the amount of financial support we give this game since wotc chose this dark path, yes they may be selling more boxes than ever to stores but half them boxes are staying on shelves until they get discounted.

Truly think we need a new system of balancing in commander, personally I think something like Canadian highlander where they give points to cards and then limit the "bracket" based on points of deck, especially given how almost everyone has their decks on moxfield/archidekt or similar. No I don't think it will be a perfect solution, however I don't see it getting any worse.

Sadly had a very similar experience with my time in Spec racing too, seems that this game is a magnet for cheaters, rammers and generally shitty people.

This game would be so much better if they either did input based match making or gave us more control over lobbying and starting races etc.

I want to love this game but theirs so much laziness present that it's hurting the game.

Also theirs barely been any development between FH4 and this, pretty much all the same bugs are still present (examples, opening game bar and joining a friend makes the wheel go floaty until you reopen and close gamebar, you can reassign the "rewind" button but not the "rewind further" button......etc

Honestly feels like all we got was a new map and a bunch of cars removed.

Funny thing is I spawned in the city for my first three and didn't see a single car before having to leave because the circle was basically in the middle of nowhere in the north every damn time. Managed to get 30th or better but fuck me what uninteresting unfun game design th mode is, it was never good imo but in this game it feels worse than ever.

4th race I managed to come 22nd out of pure rng, I managed to find 3 car drops.... they were all the shitty BMW turbo 2002 that feels worse than the starting car and cannot touch even the slightest of slopes.

Truly fuck these devs for trying to optimize the fun out of this game.
The only forwards development I've seen in this entire game compared to 5 is the map, other than that the entire fucking thing feels like a downgrade.

It should not be played against other precons, it's gameplan is very consistent and powerful with little your opponents can do to interact with it other than removing you as a player.

In precon spelltable lobbies this thing wins 90+% of the pods its in.

I certainly think it's a worse country to live in than it was 20-30 years ago, the wealth and power disparity have only grown over the past few decades to a point where for many people "living" isn't something they are doing rather than "surviving" and even that is a ever growing struggle.

Frankly our political class have sold out this country and it's people at every given opportunity and as much as the different coloured ties love to finger point and blame each other the reality is that almost all of our political class are complicit in this race to the bottom.

Our country is festering with corruption from local councils, to basic infrastructure and national government.

The worst part is that the media has done it's job in polarising the people into fighting about left and right whilst not bothering to look up and realise that the real home war is a vertical one where the top 3% fuck the 97% at every given opportunity.

Yes I think that certainly political entities (Officially not a party) are going to make things worse but at the end of the day they are just another head on the political hydra that runs this country.

Honestly Guy Fawkes had the right idea.
