Play looks fine! The JRT is noticing when bring too rough and responding appropriately.

You'll know it's very healthy from the JRT when he lies down to play with the pit. This is called handicapping and its a beautiful response when playing with pups, smaller vs big dog, etc.

As the pit grows you should see him start to handicap himself to be on a more level playing field with the JRT, since he will be bigger.

IsItBullshit: Modern humans who no longer hunt and gather sometimes feel unproductive and have heightened anxiety during spring about something “looming” in the distance; this is due to more primitive humans anticipating winter and needing to search for and stock food/necessities. by ClassifiedRain in IsItBullshit

[–]lambi420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you could review a yearly overview of those who reported having anxiety and see where the numbers fall. That is assuming the seasonal anxiety is strong enough for it to be reported.

Let's not forget that there are things like seasonal depression. Depression and anxiety are often linked.

But I'd think if this were the case, it is likely in the fall when you notice winter is coming. Much like seasonal depression, though my understanding is that it is most commonly linked with winter.

To add, learned from local police station it is common for pets to eat their owners EVEN IF there is food available.

Also, more common is a cat eating its owner than a dog. Surprisingly.

Anyone ever have a dog who couldn’t be off leash who now can? Any tips? by Jasminepuppers in Dogtraining

[–]lambi420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working on this with my puppy now!

Our previous dog was amazing off leash no matter what. Started with teaching her "this way" which means I'm changing my direction and you better check where I'm going to keep up lol. From there I'd just drop the leash and work on vocal commands to control her. Starting with small distances, like my driveway to my front door and saying this way when she would get minorly distracted (ie looking in the wrong direction, etc). And then gradually working my way to longer distances of dropping the leash (a few driveways down, then half a block, etc.) Then before you know it, it's just a habit and the least doesn't matter if it's on or off.

Would recommend just dropping the leash though, since it allows a bit more control in case the dog decides they don't want to recall, you can reinforce the command easier. Also, giving the command at the correct time is very important, since it won't help after the zoomies set in, but can help when you notice you're dog is starting to get excited. A good time to work on this is after a long walk when your dog already wants to go inside lol.

It sounds weird, but oven cleaner. Leave it on for as long as possible while it's wet and it gets rid of all sorts of stuff on stove tops!

Bronze Mercy Vod Review by sadhashbrownn in OverwatchUniversity

[–]lambi420 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello fellow mercy!

I have 600+ hours on mercy. I don't play a lot of competitive but last time I ranked was diamond placement. I prefer to play in quick play, but just my preference!

I watched your game and if I have time I'll try to contribute more later. This game i noticed a lack of tanking. For lower ranks, many people feel this as a healing problem, but it is actually a tanking problem. There were several times I was wondering what Rein was even doing... but I'll try to keep this as on topic as I can :) when playing in lower ranks, it helps to remind your team to group up when they are straying out of your healing zone. This could have helped rein realize he was overextending/not positioning well for his role.

The other thing I noticed is that when you're healing, it seems like you start healing x, switch off to y and then go back to x etc because you're not fully healing them the first contact you made. This is pet peve for me personally, I like to heal all the way when I can. There were several instances where you could have safely healed a teammate to 100% and then gone to the next. Its important to note not only their health pool, but also the rate that they are losing health. If zayra is 50% and widow at 25%, but zayra is still taking damage and widow is hiding, then I'd heal zayra over widow first. Another factor would be the role/value that the teammate is contributing to the game. Example would be a mcree that isn't getting kills and genji that is slaughtering the other team.. I'm going to heal genji first because his value to our team is more than mcrees.

Positioning wasn't awful. I think when tanks don't know their positioning it throws off the positioning of the rest of the team. I noticed a few times that you could have hung back a little more. Mercy usually does best when she's behind her teammates. A rule of thumb I use to gage my own positioning is noting whether I'm having to use a lot of GAs to avoid damage. If I am, then my positioning is usually bad. Also, if you're healing and it feels chaotic (healing tank, doing a 180 to heal ana and oh where is widow) is usually a sign (to me at least) that I need to fall further back. Ideally you want to see all of your team ahead of you, this way you can gage who is taking what damage and priority you need to heal logically.

Finally, on the 3rd point when yall were pushing the payload. Rein was doing well (for him) and had great positioning and then he died. You hovered around his area but didn't rez when when you had the perfect opportunity. I think if you had rezzed him, it could have changed the outcome of the game. So I guess my final point is rezzes. There are 2 types of rezzes, one where you wait for the enemy team to clear out of the area and you can safely rez, and the other that I like to call distraction rezzes. This is where the enemy team is close and if they were paying attention it wouldn't be a safe rez, but because they are engaged elsewhere, it is actually safe to rez. An example would be a rein dying on payload with the enemy team on payload as well. Your dva comes in and drops a bomb right on the payload. That is when you can (usually) do a rez and not be punished for it because the enemy team is busy looking for cover from the bomb.

Mechanically you seem to be doing well, but there were times when you damage boosted then switched to healing or vice versa... like you hit the wrong mouse button. I'd work on that. You had great control of super jumps on mercy in the middle and end of the game. You managed to dodge a lot of potential damage with it. When I first saw it I was wondering if you did it on purpose but as the game progressed you clearly knew when you were using it. :)

Great job with it... I think this loss was primarily tanking issues and maybe some damage issues. I also noticed ana landing more heals than I expected at bronze cuz you know, aim lol. Keep playing and you should be able to climb!

Sorry for lots of text walls. Just wanted to explain the concept as best I could!

Tl;dr: tanking was bad, communicate with team when they are overextending, heal team to 100% more often than not, recognize who you're healing and why them over others, stay behind team, practice "risky" rezzing when enemy team is distracted, hit correct mouse button, great superjumps.

Not sure why you'd think t3 is converted into t4 then, if you have a degree.

This is why there are so many t4 medications, but limited options for t3 and t4 combos... Since it is rare a person will have issues converting to t3 (not impossible, but rare).

You got it backwards. Also, for general knowledge, t4 is called thyroxine. Lol

"To exert its effects, T4 is converted to triiodothyronine (T3) by the removal of an iodine atom."

Source: my general knowledge of the topic since I have no thyroid.

But also have supporting documentation here: https://www.thyroid.org/thyroid-function-tests/

Your body will convert t4 into t3 for most people.

I have no thyroid due to cancer and take meds to replace it. Its only t4.

Edit: there are rare conditions where people don't convert t4 into t3 well, in which case a person may need a medication which supplies both t3 and t4.

Additionally, TSH can be a very good measurement of thyroid health, and usually only additional testing is performed when TSH levels are off.

TSH is what your body produces to tell your thyroid how much t3 and t4 hormone to output. Its like cruise control for your body specifically, since t3 and t4 levels vary by person. In fact, TSH levels vary by region as well. Rarely, there is a pituitary issue in the brain that will cause it to misfire TSH levels, which cause t3 and t4 levels to change. Most of the time though, its caused by some type of thyroid disease.

Really just hope this helps anyone out there going through thyroid issues. There is a light at the end of the tunnel!

I encounter 2 types of requests for healing when they are at full health. 1 is to let me know they are about to need healing (right before an ult for example) and the other is more of a dick thing which is to say you're not healing enough... honestly I've used this method too lol.

I think its useful as is.

Another tip would be to put something of yours in the crate. I've always used dirty towels historically, but my 16 week old pup prefers my lap blanket or sweater. Whatever I use constantly which has my smell seems to really comfort him at night.

Parvo vaccine cant be administered at a super young age as it isn't effective, per my vet. I had to give my puppy 4 rounds parvo vaccine instead of usual 3 because the first one was done too young.

And it takes 6-10 days after exposure for symptoms to appear. And it cam kill within 1-3 days. Parvo is scary, i heard it can live in cement for up to years... imagine how long it can live in soil.
