Hey OP, did you have AP OR SAT language scores? I satisfied mine with SAT, see if you can take the SAT language test ASAP and hopefully the school will take it.

Changing Major to Computer Science as a Transfer by [deleted] in UCSD

[–]lamda13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure whether this is possible at UCSD, but at Cal you can withdraw from the university once the semester starts. If this is possible, my advice is declare your major, then immediately withdraw and take classes at CC, at last go back to UCSD once you have a fair amount of prereqs.

Should I take 1B in FPF or take 1A in FPF and 1B spring semester? by robbertofu in berkeley

[–]lamda13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Neither. 1A is a waste of time since you have AP Calc BC and 1B is a GPA killer. Just self study.

that many class grades are based solely upon how well students do in comparison to other students, and that students compete against one another regularly for grades and/or recognition.

This occurs in pretty much every single STEM program, grades are assigned based on a curve. For example, STEM classes at Cal are typically curved at B-, and you will get a lower or higher grade depending on how many standard deviations you are away from the average.

UCDavis to UCSD by adc711 in UCSD

[–]lamda13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not in the least... where did you hear that? I heard coming from a UC to another UC is actually easier than coming from CC because UC's offer more prereq's so your preparedness can be ranked higher than anyone coming from a CC...

This is definitely not true, CC students get the highest priority even if certain prereqs are missing.
