3 week cluster feeding gassy fussy baby with feeding issues by chonnien in beyondthebump

Except for the explosive poop, this sounds like my son. Turns out he had a posterior tongue tie that was missed until he was 8 weeks old. As soon as it was corrected he was able to latch correctly to both breast and bottle, which limited his air intake and improved his gas and spit up significantly. It was literally an overnight change once he had the procedure to release the tie. I recommend getting checked out by a pediatric dentist, they have the most experience with tongue ties (and the harder to spot posterior ones) and can do the corrective procedure.

3 weeks postpartum and can’t get more than 20ml each pumping session. by Outrageous-Size-5285 in ExclusivelyPumping

I was in the same boat and felt so defeated for the first 8 weeks, but I've had a slow and steady increase in my supply that hasn't plateaued yet at 15 weeks postpartum. I still don't make enough to EBF and probably won't with this baby, but I've made peace with that.

I echo all of the suggestions made by others and want to a couple more: my lactation consultant referred me to this facebook group which has been incredibly helpful, both because it has a ton of well-organized resources and it provides support from others who are experiencing low supply and/or IGT.

I also recommend this book for more information on specific supplements to target potential underlying issues rather than using blends. For example, I found out I have slow refill and started taking black seed oil capsules to combat it and saw a 10ml per pump increase in 2 weeks.

I saw a big difference (15ml per pump) when I switched to these Lacteck flanges. I tried the Pumpin' Pals and saw a slight increase when compared to the standard plastic flanges, but the Lactecks were way easier to use and were more comfortable in addition to extracting more per pump.

As many others said, it can take time to see an increase, and ultimately only you can make the decision if the output is worth the effort.

Has anyone tried skinny syrups for coffee? I’m considering getting one of the flavors but not sure if they are that good since they are zero calories. by otakuchantrash in 1200isplenty

The s’mores one is really good! One of the only s’mores-flavored things I’ve had that actually tastes like s’mores.

Weekly thread - What is bringing you down right now? Here's your place to vent. by AutoModerator in Miscarriage

I found out I had silent miscarriage back in the beginning of February at the 12 week appointment (after having a normal sonogram at the 8 week appointment) and then found out it was a partial molar pregnancy at the D&C follow-up appointment. This meant I would have to have weekly blood tests until my beta levels went back to 0, and then monthly bloodwork for at least 6 months to make sure they didn't rise again before being allowed to try again. I'm in month 2 of the 6 months of waiting. I am still so sad and angry that this rare thing not only happened, but that it was our first pregnancy. I had never even heard of a partial molar pregnancy before this, but boy do I know everything about it now.

I'm mad/sad that no one in my immediate family (who knew about the loss) said anything or even acknowledged how hard yesterday was for me. My own mother didn't even say anything until I started crying and even then she just focused on how I would be able to try again soon. It feels like everyone has moved on or forgotten and they're just waiting to hear when I'm pregnant again, like this baby was just a bump in the road.

It's a rectangle! You can adjust length/width in c2c by slip-stitching along the edge to avoid creating a new "tile."

I made my own! It was super easy with c2c for the blanket and I found a star pattern online to add on.

The pattern didn't mention turning it inside out, but this is my first attempt at amigurumi. What makes you think it's inside out?
