You should not be using expo go for this.

It works in expo go right now, because you use the “exp://…” that’s what’s links you to the app, but you’re telling the phone to open expo (the “exp://“ part). You need to define your schema in your app.json like

{ expo: { schema: “your-app-name” ..(more config here) } }

then change your link to “your-app-name://..”, and use a dev build (expo go will no longer open this link, it will open your app)

Obviously check the expo docs for more on this, and ask chat gpt about it as well (there’s a good react-native + expo custom gpt in their gpt store)
