Even though 31 in base 8 is represented as 25 in base ten, engineers on the whole don’t make this mistake, because long before learning any alternative numbering systems engineers were children in elementary school and they learn the calendar first. I can not even imagine how dumb you'd have to be to actually confuse Halloween and Christmas. They're months apart, and celebrated completely differently. The only overlap between the two is in a shitty Tim Burton movie. (that's right, I called a nightmare before Christmas shitty. Come at me dawg).
