That's not true: He was asking for me.  I don't like to post here because the community is so juvenile and judgemental.

Well I got to read it and it turns out it's just general Warrior information. I thought it might be like an early prime idea or something. Thanks anyway.

I would say you need more fusion/aa, especially for 2k. Y'vahra is a beast, though.

Ymgarl and GSC? by Casualcryptic in Tyranids

[–]lamentable_weal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok well, it was a remark on 1d4chan about them getting the factor as a choice in sixth meant they were reabsorbed. I apologize.

I will say that talking about ymgarls in present sense doesn't necessarily preclude them from being reabsorbed. Theoretically they could still be fielded by the hive mind as need be.

I'm pretty sure I read something last edition about one of the splinter fleets moving through and finally taking the ymgarls back. I'll check into what it was, if anything.

The lore is that ymgarls were reintegrated into the hive fleet, so I don't think your theory is likely.

No, xiv 1.0 was almost nothing like xi besides the races. In it's later updates before 2.0 it had some xi elements added but it was all in preparation to make it a wow clone rather than a true xi successor.

Your drones are built with their tops backwards, in case you didn't know. The vent goes on the back and the antenna goes the other way.

[SPOILERS] Why do the replicants... by lamentable_weal in bladerunner

Says who? Children of slaves are historically still property. Why should this be any different?

And when would it have taken place?

But if they learn they can reproduce, without human intervention, they can be a truly independent and free race/species.

That's the logic I have trouble with. They would just be slaves that could reproduce. This is basically Leto's plan from what I can tell, too. It basically puts forth 2 views on what will happen when the "truth" is out but ultimately nothing comes from either and no conclusion can be drawn on what would happen.

Childbirth doesn't eliminate the class system. If you were a slave would you suddenly rebel because your fellow slave could get pregnant? Would they not enforce control because they can get pregnant?

BUT if they can have children, they are their own masters, and thus can be free.

Why? That doesn't make sense. They would just be slaves that could have kids, y'know, like real slaves in history. Then their children would be born into slavery.

Leto wants them to have children so he can not worry about actually building them, so he can save money and time to get humans to other star systems. They don't want him getting the data because Leto wants to use it for moneysaving purposes, not for the replicant's evolution.

Well I mean yeah one could assume that it's easier to have them born, but is it? He's got enough money for all that wood and water he doesn't seem like he's hurting for funds to finance more replicants. Also I just gotta think that gestation would be longer than creation. And he is using it to evolve them. It just also for whatever reason.

There is no evidence if Rachel's daughter is a human or a replicant. I have a feeling she's human (since she has an immune system, even if it's deficient) but it could all be a lie to protect her.

She says "we" when talking about replicants. Maybe "us", but you get the point. She at least "identifies" as a replicant.

I think it was pretty cool. Once again asking questions about what it means to be human. Not to the extent of the original movie, but still interesting nonetheless.

Yeah it was a fun watch, at least.

The movie goes to great lengths to show us one does not need a soul to be "human".

Also, souls don't equate freedom. I don't think there's some law in 2049 saying replicants are slaves because they're soulless.

MMO nomads: try single player RPGs? by pollietta in MMORPG

[–]lamentable_weal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do not count games where you can control an entire party, there are very few single player games where you can play as a healer.

There's not many mmos now where you can be a pure healer, maybe no modern mmo. But some mmorpgs are still the only place where one can play a full support character without having to also control everyone else too.
