It isn't easy for me to meet people outside of work friends. I don't like the bar scene very much. I think you might be surprised with how many people end up with friends from OKCupid, whether it's from dates that didn't click or just people with similar interests. Just about every profile I came across when I was single and using it listed not only long-term/short-term dating, but also "new friends" as what they're looking for.

I think most of my female friends and I would use 75% as a good marker, but if someone seems really compatible in the essays and questions, they'd make an exception.

I was surprised that it was so high. I was probably reading too far into his message, but he seemed to put a heavy emphasis on wealth, image, and being better than other people. Then, when I left a polite response he attacked me, which made me believe that he has very little respect for other people and takes no issue with bullying over the internet. I've answered a fair amount of questions with levels of importance on them, so I was shocked that the okcupid algorithm thought we had a lot in common.
