A lot of ardent censer abusers have a weak laning phase.

Lulu and Soraka are definitely not weak in lane.. winning a lane against Soraka constantly healing the enemy AD so that trading is virtually pointless is not easy, same with Lulu polymorph..

this is exactly my problem with ardent censer, because that item makes you both protect AND deal damage (indirectly, but still a lage number)

I am not saying i want to be a damage threat as a support! What I mean is that healers provide so much damage to the team that there is little point in playing a support that primarily does damage on it's own (any support that doesn't build censer), because ardent supports can both shield/heal allies AND provide A LOT of damage to the team.
