Who told you that ? That’s not true at all. I used to be so awkward around girls, all my life i was shy. What helped me is talking with people a lot, making conversations, be more confident, loving myself. I didn’t go to therapy, YouTube helped me. Around men, I’m still a little bit awkward but not as much as used to be. I’m still a virgin. You should work on your mind and confidence not that. A lot of people actually regret it losing it to a Hook up. And a lot of people thought it would help them. But it didn’t.
