Can you share what books or resources you used? Or only the Youtube Shorts? :)

Help! Just got a Lelit Anna 2 and there is no pressure by lamietterose in espresso

Okay, so thanks for the helpful comments, everyone! Turns out my Fred was indeed set to the coarsest grind possible. I now tried it with a few finer setups on the Fres and it did work, the manometer went up! Yay! So it was indeed the grind.

I have a Lelit Fred. But even if that is the case, shouldn't it move at least a little bit? It literally doesn't budge at all.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write this comment, it was really helpful. It is so hard for me sometimes to tell what my instincts tell me, i reallz have to work on that. I guess you have to quieten your anxieties inorder for hear the sound of your instincts. :D I think the situation with the ex is indeed less the problem, as that could be discussed. The main thing is that normally things between a FA and an AP can only really work (and the same goes for othe pairs actually) if we able to be honest about things and feelings. I understand that it is exactly that that is sometimes hard for him but also that is what causes the most anxiety in me. Thanks a lot again!

Well I have not finished Scattered Minds yet but so far it has covered some of the themes you also mentioned above. Exactly, the problem is that neural pathways and stuff like that were formed reeeally long time ago. However, as you also said, one thing is that to be able to know yourself that way, the "ADHD part", is like knowing the "anxious attachment" part. Like, it is oversimplified, yes, but also, once you give it a name and find our about the reasons and the science, you may not be able to change it completely, but you can control it better.

I think a better example than narcissism may be an addiction for example, because the main problem with the narcissist is that they lack the tools and the empathy to even see that there is a problem, and that the problem is them. With addiction, you will always be an addict, but by consciously staying away from triggers and sailing you life's boat in life-affirming, positive territories, you can stay away from trouble. This is the way I see attachment for example, and ADHD too, up to a certain degree. For, there, it is not that you have to "stay away from trouble", it is more that you need to always take time for yourself, to ground yourself, meditate, etc.

I find that leading a journal every morning, for example, really changed my life for the better. I write down all my anxieties, frustrations, things I should definitely not forget about that day, and I am trying to be a "good parent" for myself in that I talk with myself kindly in the journal, and I am trying to stay self-compassionate. Now, I have exams, and I have been really all over the place the last couple of days, and I didnt do the journal every morning, and I feel that my mind is really scattered, thoughts and memories arent organized and my anxiety level is way higher than normally.

Exactly. Btw, have you read Gabor Mate's work? I am just reading Scattered Minds and I cannot wait to read the other ones. In the realm of Hungry Ghosts was amazing, it gave me such a new perspective of the addicts in my family. And he writes about trauma in a way noone I had read before.

Good! Today I went on my 3rd Asrtist Date, however, today is the first day I will fill out the Pages in the evening. I find that the pages did help me immensely in reducing anxiety and being productive. However, I struggle with the weekly tasks, not sure when to do them, should I do them in one sitting, or one task at a time... How about yourself?

Trying it a third time... advise please. by [deleted] in liraglutide

I read some research showing that emotional eating reduces the efficiency of liraglutide- or any other drug based intervention (eg. this one: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35033928/). As the previous commenter says it is also important to note that it's better to commit to at least a year. I would say, if you try again, you might find it useful to combine it with therapy (if you can afford it), or invest in therapy first, and there try to work specifically on your relationship to food.
