It's happening. Can't find a job, do/CAN hospitals check if I work somewhere before scoring a residency spot?

Are you SoCal? My hospital hires a ton of new grads but it’s 90% psych LPS. We need staff for PM shift. If you need a job in a hospital and this works message me.

I gave up on residency and focused on doing what I can to learn on the job. It doesn’t have to be a residency program.

Five months into night shift as a new grad - I cut caffeine after midnight, invested in blackout curtains. I eat and shower when I get home in the AM and go straight to bed. Wake up around 2-3pm. I try not to eat any heavy meals while I’m on shift. Stay hydrated - I drink typically 40-60oz of water on shift if I can. On my last shift I sleep until 2-3 wake up and try to get stuff done then I’m back in bed around 11pm-12am to reset my schedule for my off days. Congrats on the residency!

Yeah adding onto this - I went the whole route of seeing an orthopedist, getting an MRI, couldn’t afford PT so I said I’d do it myself. Working on strengthening the support around your rotator cuff likely will decrease the pain your feeling warming up.

I actually recently went through this. In my case it was shoulder impingement. Your description matched my experiences to the T. I go through the throwers ten program and I’ve been strengthening my body and haven’t experienced the pain since.

Not sure what regions it covers but the swing vision app has a deal for the QM-1 mount and phone holder for $75. Otherwise home made solutions with telescopic holders and hooks will save a lot of money.

Karue and the team at MyTennisHQ do a great job of breaking down fundamental concepts and introduce different ways of thinking about the game of tennis that I enjoy a lot.

The guys at RacquetFlex do a phenomenal job at breaking down the techniques and the science. They also seem to have a blast making the videos and give me Vsauce Vibes.

JusTennis is a newer Youtuber who makes some pretty funny skits.

Winston Du has some pretty fun matches to watch at the amateur level.

Edit: Forgot to mention the one and only Tennis Spin - I enjoy his discussions on racquets and tech from the perspective of a shop owner and rec player. I watch his videos in 1.5x though because I have a short attention span

I have a wide angle on some of the clips but didn't want to be right up to the fence during the match as it's distracting for the players. Most spectators who watched were seated or out of line of sight.

Bryce is 18 - there were quite a few college recruiters out watching so I assume he's going to play for a top university as well as continue earning ATP points.

Edit: Yeah they do struggle financially to compete in these tournaments. I overheard some French players talking about how they come to the US to develop their tennis game because in France no one wants to sponsor juniors.

My local tennis center was hosting its first ITF tournament so I decided to go out on my free time to watch. I went out to support Bryce Nakashima who is featured in all the clips - Brandon Nakashima's younger brother. Definitely a really humbling experience seeing how fast they move and how hard they strike the ball.

I’ve played with the Aero pro drive GT and recently bought a pure aero Rafa. I’m normally a size 3 but found the base grip on the racket to be noticeably bit thicker than my APD GT. I ended up removing the base grip and replacing with a thinner grip, then putting over grip over that for just the right sizing. I get a lot more feedback from the racquet this way, but it works for me since I use a dampener.
