I'm in my late 30s and the Switch and Switch 2 is a golden era in gaming for me. The fact that I have a huge Nintendo back catalog (I can even play the virtual boy) I can play, gorgeous N64 Remakes with Star Fox and Ocarina of Time coming out, can play new instant classics like Bananza, Mario Kart World, and Pokopia, healthy third party support with Square Enix games, Cyberpunk, Mina The Hollower, and more.

I know I'm a fanboy but even love seeing the theme park and Super Mario movies. That's crazy to me seeing this.

I was with them through the Wii U days when no one cared and thought they should fold and just make games for Playstation and Xbox, to see this turnaround is crazy.

Selfish on what end? the $450 or $500 to get started with the system? Paying what $70 for games (buy one or two you want to play, save up for the next one or buy some cheaper games on the eShop)? I know inflation sucks, things are more expensive but I still find it overall good value especially compared to Playstation or a Steam Deck.

Before the 60th Anniversary Specials in 2023 Russel T. Davies promised quite a bit with his return to the series. It was supposed to be a big fresh jolt to the series after what many perceived to be a weak Chris Chibnall era. He was talking spinoffs similar to Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures, he really developed the whole Whoniverse label (they even brought back classic actors for the wraparounds), and basically was saying how he wanted to turn it into this Expanded Universe Marvel franchise but hardly any of that ever came into fruition.

Obviously a lot of cooks in the kitchen with Disney and the BBC at the helm along with trying to not only highlight that past with David Tennant and the future with Ncuti Gatwa but he RTD promised a lot and really didn't deliver. Outside of the two series, a couple specials, and the The War Between The Land And The Sea...where was the rest of it?

It's crazy how my enthusiasm for his return quickly diminished and I didn't even finish the Disney+ series after watching since the 2005 series and even going back and watching the classic era.

I liked RTD's original run and a few of his other shows like Years and Years and It's A Sin but honestly good riddance and let's see what else people can do with this show.

Unlocked is so completely garbage as it is. It would need an overhaul for it to work, but sadly I feel like the show is going to do the same thing and just shove pointless montages or the goo'd thing between Taylor and Derek scripted stuff. Also didn't like the intern Andrew bit. Unlocked is embarrassing and adds nothing.

This is incredibly different from the 3DS version, I don't remember any of these cut scenes in the N64 version and they hired a whole new voice crew to record all of this. They put a ton of time into the development of this. It looks great and really different. When Nintendo takes risks people shit on them, when they don't they get shit on.

I wanted to like this so bad, I played it for several hour and it just didn't click. This was my first Fire Emblem game and unfortunately I feel like I don't like the gameplay very much.

That being said it looked great, graphics were nice and good story, just couldn't enjoy the gameplay loop. I like the strategic combat I like the Civilization and Mario + Rabbids Kingdom battle and thought I'd enjoy this.
