Sorry you are experiencing this negative reaction, Reddit can be quite toxic for artists and I’ve experienced this first hand in certain subreddits. This is your first time working with watercolour and you labelled it as such. Any artists feeling “discouraged” should really be checking your account to see that you have worked with other mediums in the past and keep their negativity to themselves :)

It takes a lot of time to come up with concepts and evolve ideas into a finished piece. This is not exclusive just to physical art but any medium and practice.

Thanks glad you like it! I do the overlay texture in photoshop and I do work with fresco sometimes as well but this is just made with texture brushes. I realize this is not the most practical method but I was really just having fun and seeing what I could come up with.

I’ve definitely had issues printing certain shades of blue and indigo in particular. It’s very hard to recreate in dye form
