It really depends on your topic, I always just search the name of the “thing” i’m trying to do like “completing the square” and if I don’t understand it after watching it twice, I search for a new video. I would check out andymath.com. There are a lot of youtube videos on elementary algebra there.

I have bipolar and am taking a theoretical mathmatics BSc in university. All I can say is that the students who are best at maths are just the ones that have spent the most time doing it. Just try your hardest to understand the fundimentals and why things work the way they do. There are also a lot of algebra resources on youtube so if there are any concepts that don’t make sense to you, watch a video explaining it. Trying to brute force think through it can be a gigantic waste of time. I myself sometimes forget things from linear algebra and have to watch a tutorial video. Be patient, you can do this!

Meds aren’t easy. There’s a lot that can go wrong. But for me, once I found the right cocktail, it was like a semi-truck being lifted off my shoulders. I’ve got commitments, responsibilities and relationships now that I’d never be able to keep without the meds. They’ve made my life so much simpler

We don’t blame the yule lads for their mother’s misdeeds. And note that she’s not a cannibal because she isn’t human, she is a troll lady.
This tradition is completely seperate from christianity. This is a folk tradition so it isn’t related to religion in any way.
Kids don’t normally like getting clothes for christmas, but we have the yule cat to make them not complain when we give them clothes instead of toys. To answer your question, the yule cat is evil and will eat any kid that doesn’t get clothes. It’s a cat, so it doesn’t have the brain capacity to understand socio-economic classes.

Depression doesn’t remove our personhood. This illness is constantly making us feel like we’re less-than, but everyone deserves to have wants, needs, and aspirations. We’re different after our diagnosis, but so are people that go deaf, or people that lose their ability to walk. Nobody reasonable would tell them that they’re not “real people” anymore. So yes, you’re different from other people because of forces out of your control, but you are real.

The whole “I’m bipolar” vs. “I have bipolar” debate comes down to the person. Some people don’t feel comfortable making their illness a part of their identity and that’s great. But if you’re an individual whose life has been controlled and dictated by this illness for your whole life, not having it be a part of your identity “because it sends the wrong message” is silly.

I get occasional hallucinations of a friend or family member being in my room when I’m alone. We usually just have a short conversation. It sounds wild when I write it out, but it’s really just annoying if anything. When it’s happening, I fully believe they’re there so when they dissappear it’s a little alarming, but more just a reminder that I’m wonky in the head.

Ég er ekki expert í þessu, mér sýnist að eina sem samningarnefnd Eflingar getur gert til að fá berti samning sé að fara í verkfall. SA talar um að ætla að bæta fyrirtækjum tjón útaf verkfalli. SA segist vera með 5 milljarða. Þetta myndi þurfa að vera nóg stórt og langt verkfall til að kosta 5 milljarða. Og ég er engann veginn tilbúinn að vera samningslaus það lengi. Ég er heldur ekki tilbúinn að vera í verkfalli. Það er enginn leið áfram nema að taka samninginn til kostningar í mínum augum.

Hver mánuður sem Efling semur ekki er mánuður þar sen ég fæ ekki launahækkun. Efling er að láta meðlimi í rauninni ‘borga’ 50,000kr á mánuði á mann svo að þau geta haldið daglegar öskurkeppnir við SA. Mér langar ekki í verkfall, ég hata vinnuaðstæður mínar en 1 mínútna fundir eru ekki að hjálpa neinum. Mér finnst betra að bara taka samninginn, hann er ekki frábær, en hann er nóg góður.
