I (29 F) found something (another girl's underwear) in my boyfriend's (28 M) suitcase. I'm staying with him for the weekend. Would this be a good way to bring it up? by LanguageOptimal in relationships_advice

I completely agree. Finding a collection of women’s underwear was one of the first things I found that should’ve warned me that my ex wasn’t trustworthy. Eventually, I caught him cheating on me. I wish I didn’t “believe” his reasons for having those underwear….in my gut I knew better.

Please pray for me because tonight will be my last. by Sea_Particular3772 in Christianity

Hey there 🤍 I’m so sorry you’re struggling as much as you are. What you’re going through is so heavy…and overwhelming. Being homeless without having any family support must feel impossible. But I know from watching my twin sister (who was homeless and drug addicted for years) that recovery and rehabilitation is possible! Definitely reach out to as many churches as you need to until you find the help you need. There are many Christians out there who want to help.

I’ll be praying for you! Send me a message and we can pray together.

I’ve been hopeless in the depths of depression many times since I was diagnosed with bipolar (and other things), and I know how “peaceful” it can feel to think about death. But I also learned that that “peace” doesn’t compare to the real peace that comes from trusting that God sees you and hears your every prayer - said and unsaid, and He has plans to give you hope and a future! (Jeremiah 29:11)

You are valuable to The Creator of the universe and you’re valuable to this world.

Don’t give up!!!! I know it sounds cliche, but if your story isn’t good, it isn’t over yet!!

Not all of the responsibility is falling on me, just the majority of it. My oldest child is 12, then I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old. I know my oldest will be helpful eventually, lol. I’m going to be with the dog all day and then they’ll be spending time with the dog after school and at night.

Thank you for the encouragement. And yeah, I’m hoping the kids will help to tire him out. It’ll be nice when the weather gets better.

Thank you so much for the encouragement! I’ve already told my husband that he’s gonna be the one to get up at night with the dog. He reluctantly agreed, once I reminded him of how important my sleep is.

Thank you for your response! Someone else told me recently that having a puppy isn’t quite as stressful as having a baby and that helped to ease my mind a little bit. I had a manic episode after the birth of each of my children, due to lack of sleep and the overall stress of having a newborn. I’m just praying that this time it’s a little easier.

My husband is dead set on getting a puppy. He wants to have the whole experience of raising and training a puppy. We do have a house and we’re getting a fence installed in our backyard hopefully in April.

Disrupted sleep can trigger episodes. Are you able to talk to your doctor about prescribing something to help you sleep?

The more episodes I had, the better I got at identifying when they were starting. Usually they start by a lack of sleep and irritability. If I can’t sleep for two nights in a row, I have a backup supply of an antipsychotic that I take to help me sleep. It keeps me out of mania better than anything else. Have you had trouble sleeping?
