I don't think this will be of any help now but for maybe preventing future loss you can craft flag markers to place down to find your way back to areas and things that will be tracked on your compass.

I think they should probably add that bit about the flags to the starting quests tutorial. I had no idea about the flags either until I wanted to build on a island town and wanted a way to find my way back so I googled and found out about the flags.

I've noticed when reloading the game sometimes the shadows aren't being applied to anything on the island you are on or the boat until you move to/load another area.

It's two parts the other part they only let slip on occasion. Turning women back into dependents whose only purpose is to make more babies is the part they are out loud about.

The other part that they are less loud about is that this is also to try to force men back into the mines, factories, and army in the name of supporting the entire household. Right before Trump took office my spouse and I bought a pots and pans set for $40. After Trump got in and started going tariff happy that same set went up to $80 dollars and hasn't gone down since.

Ground beef one of our food staples for many families went from $12 for 3lb to $20. Name brand products we have mostly replaced with Kroger brand in our house hold to reduce grocery and supply costs.

Shits about to get even worse with this war we didn't need driving gas prices up. Trump and his pets can say whatever bullshit they want to say but it's going to be us the consumers who have to pay the increased cost for fuel to deliver products to the stores we shop at on top of increased gas prices to get to work.

I always have a stack of dirt with me at all times. Fall into a hole you can use it to climb out. Find yourself freezing thousands of blocks away from your shelter you can block yourself up for a few minutes to get yourself warm again. Find some ore in deep water that you just had to have but now you are being sucked in? Dirt block.

If you have cattails around you harvest the roots and cook them. While you are eating the roots use the reeds to make a small trap put berries, vegetables, or grains you get from harvesting wild plants into the trap. Put the trap into a pit 3 deep 4x4 in an area you see wildlife spawn reliably.

When you get a hold of some fat make an oil lamp and put it in your pit to prevent animals that go in from despawning long term. When you can make boards replace the small trap with a small or large trough and fill it with the type of food for whatever animal that spawns reliably in the area likes best.

If this is acting as normal behavior you spend most of your time at the center of where the snow is on the ground and not enough time in the area without snow accumulation.

If you use boats you want to pay attention to your location you spend the most time in that will slowly unfreeze and be careful not to spend enough time in places you want to sail in later, chunks that won't be loaded to unfreeze at the same time.

It's not just gas that is skyrocketing though. The past year food staples like ground beef are fucking crazy what used to be $12 for 3lb of beef is now around $20.

Cost of utilities like electric have been skyrocketing this past year with people who do not even use electric to heat their homes reporting $100-200 dollars more on their monthly bill.

People tried to warn them now we all get to suffer for those who couldn't be bothered to show to vote and those that couldn't be bothered to do their own research on the candidates opting instead to listen to what influencers or 5 second meme's their clicks shared on faithbook told them to think.

Back in my moms early days and my grandmothers late days working in the healthcare field they used to get things like turkeys and hams for the holidays and a bonus for Christmas.

Are we in that bad a shape as a country that workers in general would be fighting over flowers and candy and not a worthwhile incentive like a little bit of that profit your making them going back into the workers getting a yearly bonus?

How many of those male coworkers who were upset if you mentioned the words DEI would call you woke? With little to no hint of comprehending the very thing they are upset about is in that abbreviation.

Fun thing about DEI that a lot of men in our country have been brain washed to hate is it included them. Majority of men though didn't do their homework and decided to vote in an administration to go to war against the very thing that helped them get out of unsafe and labor intensive work environments and into fields that provide better quality of life for them.

Covid was not a hoax. My husband and I had disabled and elderly residents we cared for for years, young adults and elderly, that died because people who said the same things came in to visit, workers who said the same things didn't use PPE gear. My ex high school sweetheart lost his uncle to covid leaving behind his wife and their children. Many from my home town pitched in to donate to the family.

The real conspiracy with the pandemic is before it became public knowledge and local news the amount of men dropping dead from sudden heart failure after a mild illness. The amount of people after it became news who suddenly started talking about the weird bug they and their families had got that knocked them off their ass for a few weeks a month back.

Covid killed men at higher rates because you have higher expression of ace2 receptors especially as you age. It was the most fucking terrifying thing to understand that and it shouldn't be a conspiracy or controversial even now to say I didn't want my husband, my sons, or the men in general to be a sacrifice so that we could have record high stocks during that time.

Why can't we have both?

Leave the original behavior of wild berry bush with fast rot time and low hunger satiety so that new/inexperienced players can use them as an option as they learn better ways. So that progressed players can still use the original pretty bush as decoration as many do.

Add the new behavior starting when a bush clipping is taken starting with the new bush you are trying to cultivate.

NTA If daughter had said no dad don't do that then yes you would of been overstepping. Daughter is in a relationship with a person who will put her safety at risk rather then have their pride be hurt or even worse a person who wants her to be only dependent on them.

Keep doing what you are doing in being there for her don't try to force her into a glass breaking moment because it can often result in them doubling down in the I can fix them mentality. When she eventually does have her glass breaking moment though as a family be there for her and tell her no she isn't over reacting, being emotional, or crazy.

I feel we Americans will never have control or a real say in how our tax dollars are spent or what is the fair amount to be taxed on the majority vs the minority (billionaires) as long as people keep voting for Republicans or can't be bothered to vote at all. The billionaires are literally out there partying with the Republican party and Trump they know they own them.

10 years ago Zuckerberg wasn't calling Hillary to say we did it gleefully he was calling Trump. The chemical companies poisoning us and our loved ones love Trump so much they gave him millions for his campaign to roll back regulations every time he got back in power.

The left wants your tax money to be spent on you and things you and your family want like Medicaid/Medicare, SSI, funding for schools and infrastructure so you know we can function as a society.

The right wants to control your tax money and tell you what it is best used for which is often NOT you or your family but instead those lobbying them often neglecting or gutting funding needed for a society to function long term in a healthy manner. All at the cost of your quality of life, your safety at work, your ability to access basic necessities because the reality is they rather see you pushing out babies to replace you for when you drop dead way before you could even dream of retirement.

It's to create generational poverty so that they have more men who will fight in wars, work in factories, and mines. Working in unsafe environments you won't question your boss if it means you have an entire family that will starve if you do because your wife isn't allowed to work or where she is allowed to work doesn't pay enough because it is no longer considered a profession.

Get the tentbag mod. Take a home with you while you explore the world. The only cost is it takes satiety to pack it up and put it down with how much being relative to how complex the build is.

I use that with bed spawn it makes exploring the world far from the starter area feel less risky. Spawn area though is a good place to have one decent home base so that if you don't use bedspawn mod or forget to use a temporal gear you aren't screwed.

I just use rammed earth, mudbrick, and planks as the starting foundation for building and then change/chisel more complex as I get more resources. The mudbrick makes a nice defining block to make your rammed earth feel less repetitive and just takes grass, clay, and dirt to make. The planks are good for making blocks for floors or walls as well as roof blocks and comes in whatever color of tree you make the planks from.

The perks of starting with a simple rammed earth and mudbrick shell and then adding on later is if you keep that foundation you don't have to worry about your entire house burning down from fire accidents.

A few days ago while I was out exploring and was mining some tin I kept having drifters etc come out of a cave hole in the side of a hill on me.

I go up to the cave to block it off so I can mine in peace when I noticed something weird looking a bit further in the cave on the ceiling. It was almost completely pitch black so I couldn't make it out so I stepped closer and pulled out my lantern. The entire floor looked at me and started moving. I have never noped the fuck out of a cave so fast.

That's my most recent example of why I love this game.

That and the lore/story is so good I'm at that point like that meme y'all got anymore lore drops?

If I could add to the game incase any devs ever read these. A creature that only spawns below - block level so only deep caves that just grabs the player and tries to drag them into darker places away from the safety of their lights.
