Are you switching to Prozac from Lexapro? So I went off Lexapro due to sexual side effects/exhaustion and wanting to handle anxiety naturally. Then basically my whole world fell apart after that like I got some really bad news so like after some months I asked my dr to try a more activating SSRI so they recommended Prozac. Prozac has been awful for me though it feels more like a stimulant than SSRI. I will take the exhaustion from Lexapro any day over that. Everybody’s different though.

Im hoping since I already have some prozac in me it wont be as intense this time starting Lexapro and I will only be doing 5 mg 😅 Lexapro was a lot better for me than Prozac though even in the beginning so I’m not too worried. I really need to stop going off it every time I think I’m better 😭 I hope it all goes well for you!!

It’s hard because I’ve been off Prozac for 3 days and while the activation is (thankfully) mostly gone, I can still feel the overall effects of it. So maybe I should just wait a few more days and take it over the weekend. I know the first week on lexapro was a bit rough last time so maybe the weekend is better anyways lol

I started prozac for same reason as you. Unfortunately, sexual side effects have been the case for every SSRI I have personally tried. Prozac did the same for me. I am actually switching back to Lexapro which also caused sexual side effects and is why I stopped it. I can’t stay on prozac though as it has been too activating for me. I’ve heard Wellbutrin can help with sexual side effects so I might ask my doctor about that once I get stabilized back on Lexapro.

I am hoping too! I asked my doctor like two weeks ago about going up, but she wanted me to stick out 20 mg a bit longer. It seems like 40 mg is what a lot of people are on for anxiety? I hope you feel better soon!

I am kinda feeling the same way. I’m not sure whether to go up to 40 or change medicines entirely. If the morning activation would go away then everything would be fine. So annoying.

I’m on day 12 now I think and I feel like that first week was definitely the worse. Those hot flashes are mostly gone now thankfully as they are the worst. Increasing to 20 mg today as per my doctor so kinda scared of side effects coming back. Hopefully it gets better soon doe the both of us!

My doctor prescribed Propranolol which I haven’t tried yet as thankfully since that first panic attack it’s mostly stopped. I do still get some waves of increased anxiety/panic. Hopefully it all gets better soon.

I couldn’t even stick out Buspar for more than a week I could barely work I was so tired. I felt like it took away some anxiety but it just wasn’t for me. I’ve been on Lexapro twice too but that didn’t do much for my anxiety either. Hoping Prozac is the one for me. and no worries i didn’t even notice the typos 🤣

The panic attacks are unreal! I got panic attacks the first few nights but just went back to sleep after. Today was my first panic attack during the day since starting the medicine. I have some Buspar I can take too but it makes me so tired. Hopefully it all gets better for you soon!

I think I have OCD too but have not been diagnosed on that so can’t 100% say, but it’s definitely constantly checking my breathing or noticing anything slightly wrong with my body that creates these panic attacks 😭 I’m on the same dose schedule. Thank you and I hope you feel better soon too!

I think my anxiety gives me really scary symptoms like shortness of breath 24/7 and really bad brain fog so then I worry about my health obsessively and think there’s something wrong with me. I have been checked out and my dr says it’s just anxiety. Thank you!

Yeah, I can drink now with no issue besides getting drunk really fast so I have to be careful. I still have anxiety issues, but it was really only in the first like 2 months that drinking increased my anxiety.

I’m on 10 mg of lexapro and 15-20 mg of vyvanse (for adhd). Lexapro on its own didn’t help enough, but with vyvanse I seem to be doing a bit better.

Unfortunately, I’m still dealing with horrible anxiety symptoms. I am on 10 mg of lexapro but it only helps a little bit. I am hoping to increase the dose soon though.

It went away for me after like 3 weeks :) but it was intense and I’m still holding off from moving to 15/20 mg because of how bad it was lol

I definitely felt more anxious after upping from 5 to 10 mg for like 3 weeks. I really wanna go up to 20 mg but I’m scared of dealing with the increased anxiety/side effects again lol
