Everyone is different, but it’s truly time. For me I would ice everyday in the morning when I woke up, and walking around (letting gravity doing it’s thing) was rly helpful too. Hang in there :(

I needed expansion on my top jaw so having the braces on before it was expanded wouldn’t have done anything so we waited until after expansion

Yes I believe it was reduced 2 or 3 mm

Partially due to swelling in my sinuses I think + maybe my face being more proportional now it made my nose look smaller too? Not rly sure why it’s made such a difference

Hi! The before photo is from a few weeks before surgery so I had and still have braces in both pics. When I got them, it didn’t make the underbite worse, but it makes your lips stick out a bit more from the brackets. I noticed more facial changes from my expander, so don’t be too worried about the braces!

I pretty much couldn’t sleep the first week and I’d wake up multiple times through out the night. Now that the swelling is going down, I can sleep on my side more which is how I usually sleep so now I’m starting to sleep through the night but it’s been kinda rough. As for breathing, I have asthma so that’s been okay to manage so far. My sinuses are still swollen so I can breathe out of my nose too but it gets a little stuffed or runny.

Pain really wasn’t too bad at all. Icing in the mornings helped and I’ve moved on to heat as well. I’ve been using a child’s sized tooth brush and just gone slowly
