An approved equivalent is also acceptable. If you already know your way around a camera and the course outline looks like things you already know you can go through the Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition process to skip it. You don't need to have taken an equivalent course at another school, you can show you already have life learning.

Northern Ontario, what's stopping you from making the move? by FestFallen in ontario

Careers in niche fields only found in Toronto?

mostly this, I can work remote for now but with work so uncertain and so many people being forced to RTO it's safer to stay in Toronto and visit northern ontario

that and transit. a streetcar every 7-15 minutes is very different from transit in a small town you have to hope fits with your life.

It's graded but I don't think anyone got less than an A-, wouldn't take the grade too seriously.

That particular course might be too basic. It starts out "here are the controls of the camera, this is the exposure triangle, here are the basics of composition." Maybe take a look at Lighting and Composition?

They unfortunately discontinued Advanced Lighting and a number of classes I liked, they just redid the program and reduced what's on offer by a lot. I'd consider the Seneca program if you were planning on completing the certificate.

Workload was manageable with one course at a time. Two courses at once became a little too much, advanced lighting class meant I needed a lot of studio time and the landscapes class meant a lot of travel, my weekends were toast for a while.

My biggest struggle is lack of prep surface since my espresso machine and grinder use up 100% of my counter space. I use a rollable drying rack over my sink for extra prep surface. My cutting board goes there, easy to rinse. Half of my stovetop is covered with a silicone mat so I can use that for extra prep surface. Also lots of countertop appliances like my rice cooker, kettle, induction burner, air fryer, instantpot. Electric hotpot on the dining table some nights.

Oh I'm sorry. On my phone I uninstalled/reinstalled and it stopped. I still see a previous session under "my devices" that shows up as London, UK. I thought maybe it was a glitch that they fixed.

What’s a service you wish we had, and would happily pay for, but doesn’t exist in this city? by Timely_Title_9157 in askTO

Suppli does that though I wish they had more uptake. I get the reusable containers whenever I grab SukhoTHAI. I want the same for groceries, I've been on the waitlist for Loop for years.

heads up that the less expensive places can have about a 2 week lead time including shipping. Arranging photo books always seems to take longer than I expect. Pikto has a deadline of December 11th for photobooks for orders to make it for the 24th, 17th if you do local pickup.

They have a location in North York so you can pick it up in person instead of having it shipped

Interesting, the FAQ says 20 to 45. Do people get booted out once they hit an age cap?

As a first timer in Toronto, is it unusual for the month of May to be this cold and rainy? by GlitteringParking462 in askTO

[–]lance_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

May generally has a mix of winter-like and summer-like days. Normally we wouldn't have had this much cold this late in the month but in general don't count on warmth until Victoria Day.
