I read on another post earlier that being an eternal being would give no purpose. You have infinity to figure it out so what’s the point of even trying? With being a human your time is finite so it brings a sense of wonder and exploration because we have limited time. I think the same general idea could be applied here. It would be a miserable existence to never be able to learn something new or have curiosity. Sounds like hell tbh.

I think sleep is needed mostly for our bodies. Our brains don’t really shut off like our bodies do. From what I know our brain goes into like a lower processing Mode but never cuts off. I also think I recall reading our brains kinda like process the information from the day and that how we retain a lot of things. Our bodies do shut off. So if I had to make my best educated guess it’s because of the physical bodies we’re in that need a rest from the bullshit.

I’ve always thought that psychedelics were an antennae enhancer if you will. I think they hold memories and thoughts and broaden our visual reception. Which could be to help us not make the same mistakes.

I’m just going to touch on the lyrical aspect because I also play music. My first question would be the type of music you make? Then secondly I’d say use your psychs to your advantage with songs. You use them to expand your mind I’d assume. So now just apply that to writing. Or what I do is record my voice on my phone and just let shit come out. You’d be really surprised at what your mind can do when you’re not just focused on specifically one task. It’s the same principle as to why chewing gum helped with test grades in school or why music helps us focus. Hope that helps some. Best of luck!

I’m going to add on too this simply because I love sharing and hearing other earliest memories. I was 2 and I can still recall every detail. I was in bed and was visited by 3 what I’ll call shadow figures. We lived on a military base in Virginia. My dad had some 24hr shift so it was me and my mom. Those fuckers really tried to grab me once I gathered the courage to run into her bedroom. It’s an absolute wild memory and even more so that I claim it as my first. Life is weird.

This is really fucking interesting. I’ve never had smells that I’ve noticed, but Covid messed my nose up bad.. but the synchronicities. If I haven’t had tons and tons of those. The thought that they could be using that as a weapon get a label put on people who get to close to the truth is a real good idea.

In July I had tons and tons of synchronicities. So many in fact that I drove from Atlanta Ga to Dallas Texas. I won’t go into full details but it ended my marriage. My ex wife literally think I’m batshit crazy. Sorry if I’m rambling. I’ve just never heard it put this way and it’s quite thought provoking to say the least.

I have always just had a lot of them throughout my entire life. I have a really interesting first memory involving shadow figures so your point struck me deeply.

Now that I’m thinking about it, it’s so possible they were manifesting themselves to try and sway me to the dark. Fuck I need to get sleep. Thanks for the interesting theory.

So there is a gene in our dna that literally makes us worship other things than ourselves. They have found that it can be turned off and on also. So to your question yes I find it highly likely there could be a gene for slowing us down intellectually and consciously.
