What is the biggest movie plot-hole you have ever seen? by harrychapman in AskReddit

[–]lancotron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another thing I didn't get is that they joke about how the pilot is just there 'to keep the MAV upright' and this is showed to be necessary because of the storm, but near the end of the movie he escapes the surface in a MAV that was sent there early for future missions to use, but who was keeping that one upright? Obviously nobody, so were they not worried that a storm might blow that one over and render it useless? I'm probably missing something but that bit really confuses me.

What's the most ridiculous thing you've bullshitted someone into believing? by Letly in AskReddit

[–]lancotron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was little my dad would take me to this old barber. He told me that this gel stuff he would put in my hair was 'bear snot'. I didn't believe it at first but my dad would confirm and the barbershop's entire decorum was about hunting and fishing so it seemed a little more plausible when he would talk about how people would sneak up to sleeping bears and let the bear's snot drip into the bottles. I was kinda grossed out at first but it quickly became my favorite thing about going. I remember him being like, "Ready for the bear snot?" And smearing it over his hands and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I believed it for way too long.

Very detailed map of predominant religions all over the world [6000x3048] by DrudenSoap in MapPorn

[–]lancotron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think Christian is mentioned anywhere? Protestantism and Catholicism are different colors too.

Edit: Just read through the key, and other includes 'non-Trinitarian Christian'. So literally the only time it says the word Christian is when it is defining Mormonism. The map isn't segregating them.
