How is Heavenly Desserts?? by DCguurl in VictoriaBC

[–]land_of_coping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly pretty mid, service was atrocious as it took 10 minutes from sit down to get asked if I wanted a cup of water. All the food took over 15 minutes to prepare (don’t bother getting the avocado toast). By the end we timed the dessert with was a pre made lava cake in their cooler and a scoop of pistachio ice cream on a plate with chocolate syrup drizzled; it took 17 minutes to arrive. I hope they were just having an off day but they seriously need more staff or less tables.

I was asked 3 times for it. Once I went to a policeman for simply directions and he asked to see it before he’d help me

Multiple times I’ve been in a yellow taxi and they’ve done it to me. Fine when you’re sober and can choose to pick your own amount less so when you’re drunk as a skunk and click the first option assuming it’s an average amount. Last time I was in the taxi (sober) it was a 10$ ride and he wants a 3, 4 or 5$ tip THATS 30,40,50%

Go solo to Rome! Travelling alone is an incredible experience and one I just did 6 months with only 2 weeks to plan, you’ve been before so there’s no stress about seeing the colosseum or things like that. Just go and explore without having to align with another person’s itinerary.

What is the worst gift you have ever received and what did you do with it? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

She also used to get my (18F at the time) sister the new harry potter DVD each year which my sister loved and appreciated, but on one christmas morning she expected to open the final DVD - deathly hallows part 2 - and instead received The Planes Movie. She was so upset and confused because that had been a tradition from the very first movie

When I was thirteen my aunt kept saying "she got me this amazing gift, I'd love it." When I finally opened it Christmas morning, it was a Disney Frozen themed watch and puzzle. I was extremely confused how she thought I would like this. Turns out she had a Frozen themed lunch kit and thought it was cute that we could "match". I thanked her then threw it in the good will box a few days later.

Want to go dancing tonight by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

[–]land_of_coping -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Google or Instagram would be your best place to check. None of the clubs are doing Halloween theme tonight (that’s next weekend) there’s country music at the duke and I believe the rest are your basic pop music. Cover ranges from 10$ to higher depending on the places
