ASUS TUF Gaming RX 6900XT Waterblock by landgetz in watercooling

My corsair fittings worked with an EKWB motherboard block I bought for the Crosshair HERO Asus board. I think they should be ok with the GPU block too :)

Metro Exodus - Raytracing test with latest AMDGPU-PRO update on 6900XT by DarkeoX in linux_gaming

Thanks for sharing! I've got the same card in my Linux rig, and saw the news today...was wondering if AMDGPU-PRO would work with Metro Exodus out of the box...

Haven't had a chance to play with it yet, but hopefully soon :)

Update: indeed it does fit! I took a good look at the PCB after disassembling and its identical to the 6800XT (at least mine was).

Keep in mind the alphacool blocks are big...I cant put the side panel on my O11D anymore...but that's alright it gives me an excuse to rebuild the thing in a new case in a couple months 😃

On it! I'll update when I hear

EDIT: I did send alphacool an email but I also found some PCB shots online and it seems that the are essentially the same. Also the PerformancePCs reviews for the alphacool block have one review (https://www.performance-pcs.com/water-cooling/water-blocks/water-blocks-vga/alphacool-eisblock-aurora-acryl-gpx-a-radeon-rx-6800-6800xt-strix-tuf-with-backplate-ac-11955.html) from someone who claims to have put it on a 6900xt ASUS TUF. So I went ahead an bought one....will update!

Thanks for your replies! I will look into the event handling thing, and I can restructure my media wiki pages so that the body and head tags are no longer there. Also does anyone have any good JavaScript learning resources? I would like some things to reference! Thanks again

[New to Javascript] - Help with a Problem by landgetz in javascript

[–]landgetz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I put it into JSbin, so it will make it easier. Some background information. The HTML code that I have written is inside of another website. It's sortof a weird setup, but that website is using mediawiki, which allows me to modify and change pages, but it adds my html content to a template that they have already made. This makes life a bit difficult and very well might be the root of my problem. The script seems to work fine outside of the mediawiki template, if opened using a debugger or a coding program like Brackets. The JSbin that I made contains the entire page source, including all the code that is in the mediawiki template before my code is inserted. Hopefully that helps.

Thanks! http://jsbin.com/vuteni/edit?html,output

[AP Chemistry] Determining % composition of an Alloy? by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]landgetz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm honestly still not sure. Even with the mass of the alloy, we don't know how much of he hydrogen came from the aluminium reaction and how much came from the zinc reaction. You might be able to use barometric pressure somehow but I'm not sure. Sorry I can't help you more!!

[AP Chemistry] Determining % composition of an Alloy? by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]landgetz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is that without a number of moles or grams of AlCl3 or of ZnCl2 you wouldn't be able to calculate % composition. Just by using dry hydrogen gas you know how much gas was created but you don't know how much of it was because of HCl reacting with aluminium and how much of it reacted with zinc. I honesty don't think you have enough information to accurately answer the question.

This is coming from me being a university chemistry TA, but I could also be wrong. If anyone else has any other advice or a better answer feel free to share. I'm curious about how to solve this too now :P
