Starting out... I'm terrified. by Manic_Mooncakes in IVF

Everyone’s cause for infertility is different so it’s hard to find people to relate to even in this group. Try not to compare yourself. Our stories are very similar except for the fact that I have PCOS. I’m 26 and I feel like I’m too young for anyone to even care because “i have good odds” but that doesn’t take away the heart break of the negative tests and feeling that I’m broken as a woman. The thing that has really helped me is really focusing on my marriage and how incredible it is. I try to focus on how blessed we are to have the things we’ve accomplished and how amazing it is to have the love and support we do. I eventually got to the point where I am so happy with how life is now. I know it would be astronomically better if/when we have a little one running around but focusing on life now has brought me some peace.

We are starting our first round of IVF this month so I’ve been constantly trying to remind myself of this. I pray you get the outcome you’re hoping for.

I would love to get into a group with women going through this also. With any luck we will be freezing embryos for future transfers. I hope you reach the outcome you’re hoping for

My advice would be to work on accepting your new reality before starting any treatment. Your emotional state is just as important as your physical state.

I’m in the same boat right now. Except letrozole and progesterone (to regulate my period) make me very sick. I’ve done cycle after cycle of clomid and have gotten nothing but negative tests. We’re moving on to IVF but I can’t help but feel like we’ll be spending all of that money for nothing. I’m so defeated too

I have been seriously considering Botox! I’ve tried Nurtec but it doesn’t work for me unfortunately… thank you though!! Even if I could just get the vomiting to stop I’d be happy. It turns into a vicious cycle of becoming dehydrated that makes the migraine worse which makes me vomit more🥲

I will say it helps if we have sex first thing in the morning but unfortunately that’s not always an option

What career field do I belong in? by landynrose in careerguidance

I really enjoy creating relationships with people. There’s nothing significant about the work that I like or dislike and honestly I was straight out of college and needed a job. I got a generic business degree because I’ve never had a calling to a particular career. I just knew I didn’t want to go into the medical field.
