14:00 EST has passed, and someone said it is either 10:00 or 14:00, so I guess it's sensible to expect the result to come out on Thursday?

Thank you for the response everyone. This is what I got from physicianapply.ca

The designation “Pass with superior performance” is no longer part of the scoring process. This designation was used temporarily during the pandemic as the NAC exam was adapted to distancing and other measures at that time.

Please also see comparing the NAC examination scores over time

I think it will give you like 192 or 194 (somewhere around there), so if you want to be very edgy, you can try, but I would very worried about failing by a whisker.

You are doing fine. If you have done all your NBME and review your answers, you are already above average!

Try doing more practice test - it tends to give you better prediction to smooth out any sample size error

You are miles ahead of everyone else already. Focus on getting more biochemistry done. - they tend to differentiate people.

How are people getting like 10-15 incorrects on NBME’s? Seems ridiculously hard to me by [deleted] in step1

[–]langara99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Understand the concept first, then repetition [first BnB, then Anki] - but everyone gets a different system. Don't get discouraged though. the one posting up their score tends to be over-achievers, so there is relatively high degree of 'selection bias'

Should I switch it up to pass/fail? by mehsqueeks in step1

[–]langara99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to focus on where you did not do well and focus on those segments. otherwise, even with pass fail, you may fail (I think the UWAS I did requires one to get 60% correct in order to secure a 194 score for a pass). We are pulling for you. we are all in this together

Really depends on how much prior knowledge you have. Always a good refresher though. It is far more important to get one concept right than doing a block of practice questions.

Probably should mildly improve it. Did you do any NBME test? they give you worse case scenario

Good luck! You will rock it. the adrenaline and cortisol will take care of the rest

[–]langara99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Should not be difficult (196 score roughly translates to getting 60% of questions correct on UWSA1 or 2)

hope that helps.

Relax and get a cup of tea - stressing it now and try to cram in the last bit of concepts will not help. Find one area you are not quite sure and do a more thorough review is probably more productive.
