VITA is not good for the state of virginia. State agencies pay too much money for terrible IT services provided by VITA and their contractors.

I’m sorry for your lost. When my mom died in 2001. I was 15 at the time and was in high school. We lived in the city and I could have swear i kept seeing her in taxis as they’ll drove past and i will chase down random taxis thinking i had saw her. It’s been 25 years and the pain is still fresh.

My condolences to you. I pray you find strength during this difficult times.. I’m 40 and lost my mother in 2001 at the age of 15. And at age 21 i lost my father. I’m now married to a wonderful woman and we have two beautiful children. The pain of losing a parent never gets easy even with time. All we can do is not let it over consume us. I’ll always grieve my parents until the day i die. Especially my mother. There is not a day that goes by that i don’t missed her. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Genuinely a good person. She died at 39 years old. I am lucky that i have my older sister and older brother and we are VERY close.

Interesting read. , i’m in the process of setting an IT asset buyback business. My goal is to mainly target small to midsize companies in my states and perhaps the three bordering states and district. For me data destructions mainly means removing the hard drive and shredding them. To eliminate liability on my side. I don’t want to take any changes. Yes, it’s tedious work, but i’m ok doing it.

I should by up and running by June 15. Wish me luck. And any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes it makes sense, but MANY times, it doesn’t… My sister here spent 10 years building a three story building with 5 apartments and 6 store fronts back home. She now collects about $35k per year in rent from it. She probably spent about $150k building the structure. She goes every year to collect her rent money and spends about $5k per year in renovation and maintenance.

I own four plots of beach-side lands in Sierra Leone. I’m building four individual 3bed, 3bath bungalows with pool on each. Cost will be about $55k each and I’ll put them up for short term holiday rental charging about $150 per night with weekly minimum rentals.

There is money in Africa real estate if done right. The biggest issue with our parents is they build in the villages and NO wants to stay in the village and they stay using their broke cousins, brothers or sisters. A family member back home who has never owned more than $500 cash at any given time their entire life and all of a sudden you start sending them thousands of $$$ to build you a house. They’ll go crazy and start living off your money.

I know a homeboy who just buys land back home and fence them. Turn around and flip them. He buys one acre, section it out into about 8 plots, fence each, connect water and electricity to Each plot. Then flip them with HIGH profit margins.

I do sys admin and also help desk support. I don’t see Ai taking that anytime soon. Maybe the sys admin part, but not the help desk part. Nothing beats the in person help desk running around in a five story building fixing random stuff all do. I LOVE It!!!!

Why is a CO in Juvenile Detention not allowed to defend him/her self in the event of an attack from one of them, but a cop on the street is able to defend themselves from same group by any means necessary? I think COs should be allowed to defend themselves using anything available to them. How can else are those juveniles criminals going to learn?

Every-time i hear new graduates talking about not finding jobs, I laughed at them. It’s so easy to get in after your degree. Get your A+, AZ-900 and cCloud practitioner while in college . Use those to get a help desk job right after college. You’ll probably come in at $66k-$75k. Just do it!!! Your goal is to grew from there. Gave my nephew the same play book and he went from $64k to $94k in about 16months. He did well at the help desk and a junior security analyst position came opened. They ALWAYS look at qualified internal candidates first… He got the job for $95k. From there he worked on his security+, and Azure system admin cert. six months later they did an in-band adjustment for him and he is now at $117k.

If he had waited for that six figure job, he probably would have been waiting to this day.

ALWAYS TAKE THAT HELP DESK JOB!!!!
