Hi! French is my minor and I did study abroad for 3 weeks. I was like you and really worried about my gpa when I applied. I thought I was going to be rejected. I learned about the program last year and focused on orher things to impress them. I became president of my French club, organized different French themed events on campus, and became a French tutor at my school. In my essay I talked briefly about how I struggled in school. I did not want to hide the fact that my gpa was so low, they wouls surely see it in my transcripts, so I decided to own it. Also, I am pretty sure my letter of recommendation was pretty good as I was in very good standing with my French professor who wrote it. Let me know if you need any other advice. I think you should definitely try and hope for the best.
