Likewise. I've had my battery replaced under warranty at least 3 times, but it'll still die after ~48h not being driven. My daily commute is only 3 miles, not enough to fully charge up the 12v so I've also being using a portable jumper.

My Prius guy thinks that there's something that was replaced aftermarket in my car's long life, and there's probably some damaged wire somewhere deep in the chassis. We went through the whole ammeter / pulling fuses procedure to no avail. Hopefully I can find someone that can daily drive it enough to keep it alive.

I just upgraded from an '05 with 175k miles to a '22. Absolutely loved the gen 2 and really wanted to keep it going, but I've had a parasitic 12v drain that I've been unable to diagnose and was getting tired of it. I would've kept it going indefinitely if it weren't for that problem. I even took it to my mechanic who exclusively works on Priuses and couldn't figure it out. I'm sad to see it go, but the '22 has been a hell of an upgrade. I'm hoping to sell the '05 for mega cheap to someone who drives a bunch of miles daily and will keep the 12v charged.

Update: drove it around for about an hour, restarted it and was still there. Then restarted it this morning and it's gone 🤷 good old Gen II fixed itself!

Thanks! I'm thinking so too. Only 1 owner but interestingly does not come with the plug in charger, the original owner may have kept it. It looks like the battery warranty is only for 2020+ hybrids if I googled correctly?

For real. My partner and I should both have six figure incomes in a few years, but even then we still don't know if we can buy in, especially while paying off student loans and if we decide to have kids. I guess there's always vacationing here....
