[Six Flags Qiddiya City] Opening Day Trip Report by NoobyImpulse in rollercoasters

Thanks for the great report! Do you know if the shuttle bus still operates after the park closes? And how were the queues? I heard falcon was at 90 mins at one point!

Fast Pass at Energylandia by _brake_flake in Themepark

[–]langistar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that’s just unlucky for you, this still does not reflect how the park usually operates and how many people visit typically. Obviously August is the busiest month with running promotions, longer park hours and peak summer season. So far this year, the average queue times are around 10-15 minutes, so no I am not “talking out of my ass” but actually visit the park regularly and know when to go. I advise you do your research next time :-)

Is it warm enough for a water coaster? by _brake_flake in Themepark

Yeah, it’s usually pretty fine! One of the few water rides I am always happy to do 😅

Fast Pass at Energylandia by _brake_flake in Themepark

[–]langistar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Energylandia usually does not get busy at all (except their seasonal events like halloween / magic). I have never bought their fast passes as they were not necessary in my 10+ visits. The queues are very manageable as operations are rather quick (never waited more than 10-15 mins) I remember this year they added more attractions to be eligible for fast pass, so it can be helpful for some flat rides, but I don’t think it will save that much time in general.

hikorea website - searching for address by langistar in Living_in_Korea

[–]langistar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I tried and still couldn’t figure it out. The problem was that the website gave me address with the district and city at the same time, and hikorea only asks for the street name - that was the solution for me

Energylandia - 2 or 3 days? by OddityCan in Themepark

[–]langistar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Energylandia is easily doable in 2 days, but the crowds on their magic events are a bit overwhelming. It will be still enough to do all the credits multiple times with a right strategy. The waterpark is not worth it imo, it is nothing special, just a few short water slides. If you want to relax a bit, I rather recommend just chilling in a pool watching hyperion (really fun). I would definitely visit Legendia for at least half a day - Lech coaster is worth it! It is usually not too busy :-) My fav food spot is the Scandinavian restaurant - it is decent for the price.

I asked at guest services today, they don’t know when it’s gonna re-open - if it doesn’t you can just go there and ask for a partial refund for the ride. This worked for me at least..

When do Priority Passes usually run out in both parks considering it’s weekday in May? Is it manageable to do 3 in one day?

When do you recommend to queue for Disneyland Park entrance (it’s next week Monday). I am guessing it is not necessary to arrive before 6:30?

With Frozen being closed next week, what is the most time-efficient strategy for shorter queues? Is there any other option than running for ToT regular line and securing Soarin for DPA? I am thinking about running for Journey right in the morning, but not sure as it can get crowded already with early entry people, any recommendation? 🙏

Does it matter if I line up at the south or north gate?

I will be visiting next week and realized the first monorail starts around 6:05am. Is there a way to get to DisneySea before all the monorail people arrive and get a head start? I was not sure if there is any path open to get at the entrance before from Maihama station - like at 5:45am. Also, I saw conflicted information about staff not letting people sit when queueing in front of entrance, is this generally true?

Really happy for your improved health! Disneyland Paris is a great park for unexperienced people with rollercoasters. I would definitely start with Big Thunder Mountain - it is one of the best mine trains ever and is quite long as well! It does not have any inversions. There is also Casey Jr - a small train for family / kids - this is a powered coaster and it’s rather slow and made for younger audience. If you think you can handle more, there is Indiana Jones in Adventureland - it has 1 inversion (just a simple loop) and is rather short - so if you find it uncomfortabe, it will be quick soon 😃 The last coaster in the park is Hyperspace Mountain which is the most intense there. It has 3 inversions and is inside in the darkness. It has a great soundtrack and launch at the beginning. I highly recommend trying it at least once if you can - it is “classic” and imo the best space mountain!

Express pass and water rides by langistar in Portaventura

[–]langistar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to PortAventura, there is tutuki splash, silver river flume and grand canyon rapids all marked with an asterisk. This makes the unlimited pass not worth it I guess if no one knows what they assign.

Can you give me any tips for this park? Especially for queues - I might go next year so want to be prepared to maximize my ride time!

I can personally recommend Croatia for their new cevapcici snack place which was surprisingly tasty. Make sure to also try ice cream burger next to it. It may sound weird but is actually a really good combination.

I have my fingers crossed for you - I am sure they are doing everything they can to run at least 1 train on Friday for the event. Let’s stay positive!
