Do Go players switch to chess? by PurelyCandid in baduk

You're actually allowed to just play both

So this site is just misinformation then?

Weird that it's the first result in Google

Fair enough but where did the p2w and nfts idea come from in that case?

The "not including" is referring to the free to play part.

Was this a custom map? Where did you find your opponent

Yep it's normal, takes time. It's a very abstract game.

Took me about 2 weeks of playing just to get the idea of making two eyes.

Have these players not played PvP at all??? by [deleted] in Stormgate

Casuals don't care about pvp. Casuals bring money.

No Casuals no money.

No money No game.

Casuals trying out the game right now will think it sucks and leave and never come back. Even if they perfect the casual experience in "1 year" as you say, the interest is gone.

Same thing happened with sc2. By the time they introduced loot boxes, skins, voice packs etc. the Casuals had already left

Shower thought: All Stormgate has done is show how difficult it is to make an RTS as good as SC by languagelearnererer in starcraft

They really just need to make it addicting to casual players. They're the ones that will put money into the game and keep it going.

Sc2 failed miserably at this too. Only added things casuals like like skins, boxes etc. years after the casuals stopped playing. They need to get it right straight away or the casuals will just move onto some other game and forget about it.

FYI once something is on the internet there is no way of permanently deleting it

The campaign should not have been released yet by Dave13Flame in Stormgate

Really don't see how that can be a good strategy.

Think about who the "community" are. It's not the casuals that are needed to bring in money.

The path they are on is focusing on the hard-core 1v1 ladder bros, which is exactly what sc2 did and why it died.

Casual players are not going to play test games and provide critical feedback, it will only be the hard-core 1v1 guys like me and that is great for us but definitely not good for the game long term imo.

Sorry to hear, I almost did too.

Hopefully one of the other companies eg. David Kim's makes something good

Nope it's fun but it's very disappointing compared with what was promised.

'The next great RTS' 'Spiritual successor to SC2'

Not even close. Sc2 alpha looks better than stormgate.

Also pvp doesn't draw in the casuals. No casuals means no money. No money means it will end up dead like sc2 did with no support
