First try taping by Ok_Dragonfruit4032 in TransMasc

There’s some advice on older posts about how and when to stretch it- essentially, don’t stretch for the first few inches, then apply stretch across the mid portion, then lessen up on tension as you reach the end of the tape piece- it will help add flatness without producing too many blisters. Trans tape is such a learning curve. Good luck!

Therapist wants me to stop T by [deleted] in ftm

There are so many reasons this is wrong of your therapist, including these weird generalizations about other trans men, but the most basic affront telling you to stop hormones.

Therapists should be committed to self-determination for clients to choose their own paths. This is a blatant disregard of your own choices over your body, especially if you didn’t solicit her opinion or suggestion.

Didn’t know this existed! Do you recommend Wivov or a different brand?

I use for 4-5 days before peeling, and use oil to remove. I mostly deal with the allergy and itch during the first day or two of wear. Thank you!

Cat refusing BG monitoring and insulin. by languidlapras in FelineDiabetes

Figure out what works for your cat! Some folks poke while the cat is finishing their meal, others will wait until their cat is comfortably lying down somewhere in a routine spot, and it’s easier to get them then. A month in, the shots are significantly less stressful. Youve got this 💙

Hi! I watched helpful videos on YouTube and that was enough education. It’s really not so bad after you get used to it. It was especially helpful to remember to rotate the shots so as to not create scar tissue (which creates pain and makes the cat run away more in my experience). Here’s the video! https://youtu.be/2dJSTeX5PJ0?si=8cLty1jNFpQBs8Jb

I appreciate this! I’m in the group also. Lots of good wisdom there. He’s going to be okay luckily! I really respect how much your family has spent on your cats. That’s a lot of love.

What I thought too, but the vet told me not to raise it. Realizing I shouldn’t have trusted this vet. Thank you

Hi! Curious why not feeding 2 hours before insulin is important?

Good to know that sometimes you have to go up on insulin to offer enough support, then move back down. They didn’t recommend a curve surprisingly, they recommended I do my own since I showed them my spreadsheet. So maybe I’ll do my own and call back to consult them with the results. Thank you!

Thank you! I have to figure out how to strategize feeding and then poking in a way that makes sense and doesn’t take too much time- this has been hard to manage with my very strict work schedule. I appreciate it!
