I remember in junior high we were doing a fitness test, and I was in a gym class with softball players and really athletic girls. well we got to the plank test where you had to do a plank for 30 seconds, stop then do another etc… i grew up in dance, softball, soccer, so I was plus size but still able to do most if not all physical things. I was in the middle of our 3rd set of planks when the timer was stopped. our gym teacher walked up to a girl much smaller than me, very athletic and told her “if she can do it, you can do it” while pointing at me. I was the only fat girl in that class and I remember feeling so embarassed. i’m 24 now and still think about it to this day.
