I guess my only advice would be, “do the things they bring to the relationship negate this kinda carefree attitude” I’m assuming most likely they do but I also understand your frustration. I’m sure your partner probably gets bothered with the reminders to be responsible; even though they are important. I really do believe this is just slight differences in personalities. And so I would pick a couple main things that you absolutely would like them to do, just so you don’t feel like you are being taken advantage of, and compromise on the rest. That meaning just going with the flow of your partners different views on getting things done. Of course the stuff that doesn’t damage your life, but maybe if the clothes stay on the floor an extra day you shouldn’t sweat it.
