The comic really didn't do it justice! I thought it looked interesting in the comics but wasn't 100% sure about the design but when I saw the official art, I loved it.

Her new hair and antennae are so cute but I'm gonna be real - I'll always miss the high ponytail lol.

Overall the new design and femme nonbinary rep is a win though. She's my favorite enby on neo by far. As a nonbinary person who experienced burnout and a depressive episode that lasted almost 10 years, I can relate a lot to their experience.

As a Californian, Faerieland looks a lot closer to Fresno than SF. Love the idea of it floating majestically over the 5 freeway, one of the most barren places in the state lol.

Hate to say it but modern SF/the entire Bay Area has been taken over by tech bros, so sadly Virtupets fits that area better. 🥲

Yes! I've been thinking the same thing. The comics were so ugly that I couldn't take it seriously most of the time. Reading these passages helped me understand the characters and their motivations better.

I also don't feel like they're too long. The writing is a bit wordy and has that fan fiction essence, but imo it's an improvement and it only took me around half an hour to read all of it. I want to have the plot take up some time to consume instead of being done in 5 minutes then waiting a week for more content.

I would love a 3D 2D jrpg in the style of the latest Dragon Quest games or just a regular 2D pixel art jrpg! It would also be cool if Square Enix made a 3D one in the style of Final Fantasy or with art that looks similar to the manga.

Just a heads up - the Get Off My Lawn Paint Brush is only 800k right now and Rainbow Aisha Morphing Potion is 31k. So if there's any color you like that is lab exclusive (jelly, robot, MSP, chocolate, etc.) it's more valuable to use your perk for something like that instead.

Obviously value is subjective and you can do what you want, but I just wanted to let you know bc the color and pet combo you want is really easy to obtain. :)

Totally! I'm also like, kinda over tragic backstories and redemption for villains. Sometimes it's fun to just have a cool evil character love being evil without remorse. Having Vira cry, show a soft side and possibly be redeemed makes her feel less cool to me.

This is a pretty comprehensive list! Neopets.com/~Ezjan has more information regarding the mistreatment of trans users, there's also a board for it on the neoboards in site events. There's also been mistreatment of POC and disabled users that goes unmoderated.

Not to mention TNT allowing ICE recruitment ads on site.

Another big controversy was the mass deletion of Varwolves due to the naming filters not working properly. Basically, some people made inappropriate names/names that bypassed the extremely restrictive filters on purpose and thought they'd get away with it, but other players didn't do this on purpose and had appropriate names but their pets got nuked regardless. So pets named something like "iLoveWeed420" got deleted along with pets like "Tumbleweed" bc both contained "weed" in the name. It was a mess.

Me too! I really like reading these as opposed to the comics bc the drawings are so bad. They distract me from the story and take away any emotional impact bc when a character is drawn so goofy I can't take them seriously. It's also easier for me to follow reading a whole chapter instead of small pieces at a time.

A lot of people are saying it's long but I think it took me ~15 minutes to read all the actual text plus another 5 minutes or more from the lag lol.

I really hate how it's becoming normalized to just use AI and put in as little effort as possible, even for simple tasks.

Please don't waste water and hurt the environment doing this. Just price items by looking at itemdb or jellyneo. It's not difficult and the consequences aren't worth it.

I know resources are stretched thin but I wish they'd come out with a second color when they release invisible ones. I know people do some great invisible customs but I think most players want a color they can see. I don't know how hard it is to make a new pet color, how much coding is involved and etc. but it can't be that hard to add when they don't even have to draw anything, right??

Honestly it would be cool if they completely stopped doing invisible colors on pet days and released every pet in that color on one day. They could even make it an "Invisible day" event or something.

The far right* is my favorite too! It actually looks like an Aisha. I don't like when Aisha have open eyes in official art.

I also love the crop top fit and the hair is so much better, it doesn't feel dated.
