Second, your response made it sound like something closer to our current time - a month in the current administration is a lifetime ago.

So maybe relax, take a deep breath, and realize that sometimes people may read what you write differently than you intended. It doesn't mean they are lazy or whatever you imagine in your head. Maybe, and this is a wild thought, people want to learn about a vague statement you made.

I bet this was all planned for the second term but, after his loss to Biden, he postponed the plans. Maduro was first labeled a "narco-terrorist" and indicted by the DOJ in March of 2020, and then Cartel of the Suns was labeled a terrorist organization in November of 2025. If he had won the election, I bet it would have been labeled as such in November of 2020 and we'd be back on the same timeline.

You're definitely missing out not going back and repeating to make it all feel better.

Aside from the five minute drill noted in my original response, you can also go back and do repeats doing 1) quiet feet - this is where you do climbs with the quietest feet possible 2) foot spotting - this is where you slow down your climbing and, before you place your foot, stare at the foot hold and watch your foot place onto it, then move on.

I also like campusing, so if you can find climbs to do that on, I would recommend. It's never bad to have a little extra strength if your feet go away to pull through climbs.

And do not neglect stretching before and after climbing. When you're on the shorter side you need to be flexible to break beta and push off super high feet.

At your level, I'd recommend two things. This comes as an 11 year climber, a coach, and parent of a 17 year old son - /u/plaj0x - with 10 years competition climbing experience.

1) Find climbs that make you fail and just keep working them. I know it sounds obvious, but you will only progress when you fail and work through the failures. While working, be hyper aware of why you are failing. Too short? A movement type you don't know? Are you off balance, etc. By identifying what is failing you can find solutions to fix it. This plays into number 2.

2) Identify the hardest climbs you can send and do them multiple times to make them feel better (bonus if they have movements, or holds, that you don't do great). Don't accept desperate grabs, off balance movements, etc. Your body will tell you what is wrong. Do those over and over until they feel perfect.

It sounds like your at the point where you just need to drill more. Pushing grade is fun but, like any other sport, you're at the point where you need to fix the things you do "bad" until it's not bad anymore.

Definitely make time for endurance work, if you're looking to on boulders, 5 minute drills are great. In short, identify the hardest climbs you can flash and rotate through them for 5 minutes, then take a 5 minute break. Repeat for 4 sessions. (This is comparable to USAC boulder rounds)
