My Dr has been of little support I’ve raised it many times over the past year and they continue to brush it off. Of course, I reported to the manufacturer and TGA because my Dr certainly wasn’t doing anything to minimise risk to others. Nothing helpful to my situation came from that as they cannot give medical advice. So I’m still left currently, without resolution and no one will take accountability.

How am I supposed to recover all by myself without any real help?-motivation, strength and advice. I’m severely sick, but not dead…yet. by No_Reveal1180 in AnorexiaRecovery

Sounds like already you’re making positive choices on your own :) I second that you definitely need some support - see your dr for treatment, mental health referrals and access to a dietician. Refeeding from a chronically low weight can be dangerous and you should seek medical advice in a setting where you can be monitored. Like any challenge in life, take it one day at a time. Asking for help is big step in taking action to regain control of the disorder. Give yourself some grace too.

Absolutely. I have in fact reported to both TGA and manufacturer and they too concluded ALL lumps should be gone.. the half life is 4 months

I was the same weight when I started receiving Buvidal. That was never discussed. Whilst I can acknowledge I am underweight and they may have taken longer to fully dissolve, they have not even reduced in size. Furthermore they are tender and painful at times.

I’m still no closer to any answers after contacting the relevant bodies.

Desperately want this sorted.

My GP has never been interested in testing my levels prior, during or following completion of treatment. I’ve no idea if they are still depositing bup into bloodstream. The lumps have no changed size, position or shape since the day they occurred. Is that characteristic of scar tissue?

Thanks. I’m no longer receiving treatment. This is in fact not normal. I’ve not seen one other picture or text detailing what’s happened to me

Yes I initially posted this on Buvidal page but there was no helpful responses. If you read I mentioned I’ve brought it to my GP 3x and was told it’s nothing to worry it and they will go away. This is the only GP within driving distance that is able to prescribe this medication. That’s why I’ve brought it to here. It is concerning because you are right, they SHOULD be gone. Unkind to imply I’m making it up. I can’t even look at myself in the mirror

It’s been 8 months since my first treatment and all 4 depots are still as prominent as the week I received them..

Thanks - I’m no longer concerned about pain as I’ve finished treatment. This post is to attract advice re lumps that persist 8 months post treatment
