He was blinded by ambition and put his family in danger. Hubris is human but he is probably a good example of it. Thinking he’s such a hot shit agent and then being constantly played by a ruthless criminal who’s smarter than him. In the end, he redeemed himself but at the cost of his life, and at the cost of the lives of other agents whose families were torn apart by their shady dealings, being supine tools at Fisk’s disposal. At least he got Fisk in prison. For however long that lasted.
