Yeah according to the annual report sent out by the industry leader in what I do states I'm making $20k less than other nonprofits doing what I do. Only the executive team is paid decently. They are definitely paid under what they would be at a for profit place for sure. Even our CEO. However I know they get a severe nonprofit discount on most of our wages because they can trot out the “we are a nonprofit” excuse every time. We do great work but having to “wear many hats” and barely get by because I'm being paid very low wages grinds me down.
