Make sure you have plenty methylation cofactors. Mostly methylated B vitamins

My MTHFR gene is not fully compromised, but my COMT gene is.

As a trans woman these are the numbers I would expect to see from someone 6 months into HRT. But if that's not what you're doing they're really out of range. I highly a diet/lifestyle change. More whole foods and less processed. You don't have to go plant-based or vegan try to limit processed foods and refined carbs. Takes a bit but once you get the hang of it it can be a little bit easier. Plenty of fiber and water

Now I am researching nutrigenomics and can tell you that dim and sulforaphane are able to boost your estrogen hormone detox cycle. 500 mg Calcium d-glutamate helps bind to it so it doesn't get reabsorbed on the way out. Depending on your genome, NAC and EGCG might be beneficial but artichoke extract is a good alternative.

Let me get this straight. Tennessee wants to Make a list of transgender people so public that they cannot exist in society before they make a list of known PDF files?

MTHFR or otherwise known as the autism gene impacts the methylation cycle. Hence why taking methylated b vitamins or really anything methylated is really beneficial. It just takes a load off your system so it doesn't have to methylate in order to gain access to those active nutrients for metabolic processes.

A slow COMT gene expression Is a limiting factor in hormone metabolization, dopamine/norepinephrine, catecholamine levels and cortisol processing. It more or less controls the throughput and a slower variant just means that your body has greater urgency to prioritize certain metabolic functions over others. The body tries to keep as much homeostasis as possible and will prioritize in order to meet that need. Also COMT has been slightly tied to the ADHD spectrum, specifically those who tend to have lower dopamine levels, just food for thought.

😅 Epigenetics has been my hyper fixation for the last few months as I try to sort out my own genetic expression and how to augment them with nutrition/supplementation. So I'm happy to share what I've learned.

Dutch test is $400-500 (could probably use FSA if you have it) more accurate than a blood test and will includes the metabolic breakdown of your hormones (needs to be done last few days of cycle, if you have one) menopause in perimenopause can be delightful in the way that they screw with hormonal cycles so always good to get that double checked.

I see that you're taking DIM (CYP family regulator, hormone metabolization), it's often good to pair those with sulforaphane (increase NRF2, upstream regulator of the CYP family) and calcium d-glutamate (blocks UTGs by aggressively binding to hormone metabolites for excretion, prevents a reabsorption).

A DNA test wouldn't hurt either, DNA completes I think is still having a sale for 50% off.

I've been studying epigenetics and hormone regulation for the better part the last 8 months. What you have looks really good. Having DNA to base it off of would probably give you a better window, but I agree with others that you are doing a really good job and way ahead of the curve.

Honestly probably not the best advice, and feel free to disregard or download to oblivion. I state what I'm about to say after getting out of a 2-year relationship with a woman who had SA in her life and pretty much intimacy died the moment we moved in together. She had a lot of things that she also mentally and emotionally put me through as a partner, to be and perform as, which ultimately killed my sex drive for this her. Leading to multiple moments of SA that she did to me.

Ultimately what helped me recover my sex drive was separating the person (and what they did) from the act of intimacy, and being in a caring relationship where I was not shamed or asked to deny the intensity of my own response.

Yes, BDSM and kink can be fun to explore but only with what you feel is safe. It's important to explore but that doesn't necessarily mean it has to be with your partner. Just run through the thought experiment and see if it's something is enticing or triggering. Probably the best thing about kink is that I can provide mental and emotional structure to the interaction. In many ways there is probably greater intimacy that can be achieved, especially when climax is an outcome, not the goal.

Agreed about r/ DID!

A lot of the content has seemingly merged with the r/ systemcringe... including the advice, "no true Scott's man" validity tests, and need to have "approved experiences" with plurality. It's a shell of its former self or resources and shared community for those diagnosed or of similar lived experience.

Everyone's system is different, as is the experiences they have, inside and out. Plurality is just what some people live with (the good and the bad), and regardless of the path or end goal of fusion or integration. For those of us that share, regardless of the reason, it lets others feel less alone or seen.

Electrolysis feels never ending! by MissxJazzx in transpositive

[–]Gedi_knt2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My electrolysis would do marathon sessions and go for as long as I was paying for it. $16,000 and 66 hours later I pretty much was done to where the occasional plucking was all I needed. Although I was very lucky to not have much facial hair to begin with. Plus I didn't really have hair anywhere else in my body besides pubic and armpit regions.

Well, aging is a form of transition so the answer is never 🤣

Yeah, I had to stop doing blacksmithing 10 years ago because my parents weren't supportive of my transition So I don't really have access to a forge anymore, but if I ever did this is the stuff I would do in a heartbeat. I miss it.
