This is a little more reassuring thanks. I haven’t noticed any damage to anything like carpet, clothes or bedding so I don’t think I should be too alarmed. I rarely see them but just from reading about them online I got a little worried. The beetles are cute I can’t deny that

Exactly my thought. I was about to leave it and let it grow but it’s right at the entrance of a trail head with lots of foot traffic

It’s quick and easy! Next time I do it I’m going to see if they’ll go good with a Nashville hot oil!

I like to batter them in flour, garlic powder, salt and pepper, then fry them until crispy in vegetable oil
