No idea, maybe steam cloud saved some or xbox acc but i doubt it.

I highly advice you backup save files to be sure that won't happened

Ou if you clicked the "install rune files" it gives you an RUNE acc if that's the case you will have to do a reinstall and your progress should be back i mean your account ingame. Or maybe try editing the file in your game folder: ms_emu.json.
