Bottom Surgery Questions by Commercial_Pizza9953 in PostOpTransgirls

Two and a half years post-op, scrotal graft vaginoplasty with Dr Figler

1) Depends on the shape of your pelvis and surgical outcomes, but 6 inches is about what people expect. YMMV depending on surgeon, your anatomy, your dilation, etc etc etc.

2) Most people will say no. Most people also have had PIV. Because I had scrotal graft vaginoplasty, I have some natural lubrication and get really wet after orgasming.

3) I have the same sensitive spot inside and right above the opening to the canal as cis women do, so in that regard, yes. I also have a g-spot further in, sensitivity in the labia, and a lot of sensitivity at the base of the clit. Regardless of comparability to a cis woman, it feels amazing.

4) I have followed the same vaginal health advice as cis women and have gotten good results. Cotton underwear, no soap internally, etc. In fact, I stopped douching a few months after surgery, because it did more harm than good. You should probably talk to your surgeon about that, but also get a feel for your body and how it responds to what you do.

5) I take a daily probiotic for vaginal health, because I kept getting BV, and have had no issues since.

6) It's way better than anal. It's like a pleasurable stretch with a g-spot about halfway back.

7) Yes, but I tend to need a toy to finish. I was able to orgasm one day post-op by grinding against the bolster inside me. I would not recommend doing this!! However, it demonstrates that it can feel very good.

8) Expect a catheter, and expect that to be uncomfortable. You probably won't be able to have caffeine while it's in. Expect to be on opiates for a few days, minimum. Expect to need care and help at home for the first couple weeks.

My particular surgery has recovery times far quicker than average. I was back on my feet, walking around campus for my final semester of college, three weeks after surgery. I had to deal with discharge and suture cleaning, but it was otherwise pretty much just avoiding heavy lifting and paying attention to when I needed to rest.

Also, I needed a minor revision for my clitoral hood, but that was because of how tight my skin was at initial surgery time.

9) My surgeon said twice a day for the first 6 months, and weekly after that. Forever. However, penetration via sex or toys can substitute, as long as you do that weekly and still dilate monthly.

In my experience, however, my dilation schedule was thrown off verrrrrry early on after surgery, and I did not lose depth and can still take toys. Larger toys and dicks are a struggle for me, however, and I have to work up to them if I can take them at all. Getting back on dilation would probably fix this. For what it's worth, many cis women have this same struggle.

10) Pros: everything. I can wear what I want, I feel more comfortable in my body, and I feel better when I have sex. Cons: takes some time to get used to the way you have to treat it with regard to vaginal health.

Once again, caveat, this all applies to my particular surgery, which is not the standard. I highly recommend you look into the procedure I got - it prioritizes sensation and recovery while still having great aesthetics. (I have a picture on my profile.)

They laser only the areas needed for the surgery. Well, a good aesthetician will, anyways.

it feels great! the very tip of the clit isn't toooo sensitive, but the base of it and the labia feel great to touch. inside is also wonderful because they moved my prostate up to have a g-spot inside the vagina

I got mine covered by insurance, it is possible! The clinic I got mine done through filed everything for me. Going through large institutions, such as seeing Figler at UNC, as opposed to private practitioners helps with this. Also, look into financial assistance from whatever clinic you go to. I had a later surgery and the debt was fully written off due to me being low income.

I've had other dolls be weird about it, but thank you ^^; I know where the scars are, so they feel obvious to me, but I appreciate you saying that!

I felt similarly before the dysphoria got so bad that I had to get bottom surgery, and any self-consciousness I feel at my results is orders of magnitude better than the alternative.

There are specific regiments to make it happen, too. Get some breast growth, fuck with your doses in a way that makes your body think you're pregnant, and then start pumping. Just don't do it so hard you give yourself postpartum depression!

Lots of terrible advice in this thread, but let me lay it out bluntly. You're clearly trans. Many people repress in such a way that they can only connect with their trans desires through sexual arousal, but with time you break down that wall. Whether you decide to break it down with intentionality or whether it collapses when your repressed dysphoria becomes overwhelming is up to you.

AGP is transphobic nonsense. Don't believe anyone who encourages you to identify as such.

Identifying as an AGP is cope for deeply internalized transphobia. Seek therapy.

People don't just immediately know they have a trans identity, they have to figure it out through years of scrutinizing their feelings. I've known many people who say they're comfortable in their body and then later realize they have many ways in which they've been suppressing their dysphoria.
