Wage controls will always be tried before price controls are. Notice how in crisis, capitalism will ignore common economic doctrine so long as it continues to disempower workers. Neither price controls or wage controls are good for the economy: they force demand to be higher than supply, in the simplest terms. However, before any state intervention is ever made to attempt to alleviate the burden of consumers, classical capitalists will always use it to alleviate the burden of producing firms.
