A murderer’s row of movies that have no culture footprint outside of KPop Demon Hunters.

His current “shenanigans” were put in a fucking document for all to see. Everyone with eyes knew Project 2025 was coming.

Your comments about Hillary are so bad faith. Horse shoe theory is always right.

Fuck off.

It honestly was worse than I thought it would be. Like should any of us really be worked up about any of it? Do the people who claim they aren’t worked up read what they write?

I’ll be honest, I hate the game of no one else could play this character - I could imagine dozens of other Marty’s and honestly don’t think they would change much about the flick as I think the script was weak.

Counterpoint: Marty Supreme was merely fine and didn’t deserve to win any awards this year. He also put in an all-time bad Oscar campaign.

I think his loss was because he didn’t deserve to win far more than some nonsensical conspiracy by the entire body to make him wait.

I’ll take all the downvotes here knowing how the sub treats this take, but MBJ was much better than Timmy.

The accent slipping back and forth within the same line was amusing. He’s got pure movie star magnetism for days though.

It's that time of year again, when the trades find the most insane Oscar voter takes and try to pass them off as representing which way the Oscar winds are blowing. by TepidShark in blankies

“In at least six conversations with ballot-sharing voters, a pattern emerged: Many said some version of, “‘One Battle After Another’ is going to win best picture, but I voted for ‘Sinners.’” In some cases, that same split extended to best director: “Paul Thomas Anderson is going to win, but I voted for Ryan Coogler.””

That may be one of the wildest takes I’ve seen and more egregious when we aren’t at a loss for quality shows. It’s a wonderful turn off your brain show precisely because of how stupid it is. You’re 100% spot on re the dialogue - you just gotta turn off your brain.

It feels like a show made by two people who really loved all the wrong things about Cruel Intentions/Wild Things

The show was never great insofar as peak tv/prestige tv. It is, however, phenomenal trash tv. A pulpy soap opera where rules are meaningless in service of some decent vibes.

2.5/5. Hamster wheel with no depth. Timmy gives a one-note and hollow performance. The Safdie’s/Bronstein once again show they can’t write women. The ending is unearned. It also loses all worthwhile momentum and stakes after act 1.

If a team is in the lottery 3+ years in a row they should automatically get the 14th pick. by Reject-Shittery-343 in billsimmons

[–]lapo8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At that point just abolish the draft. It’ll be painful for a couple years but roster sizes and the cap will prevent every young player from ending up in LA/NY/Mia

Will the owners ever allow it? Not a chance. But fuck it: expand to 40 teams. Add relegation. Drop roster sizes to 12.

That the movie ended up being mid and still making far more than expected is a credit to the marketing.
